A Few More Thoughts On T.O.'s Release

T.O. Baby!
I'm still pissed the fuck off right now, but I gotta let off some steam:

I keep hearing all this shit about how T.O. had declined in productivity last year because he had only 69 catches for 1,052 yards and 10 TDs. But NOBODY ever talks about the real reason why his numbers looked unusually low. The real reason T.O.'s numbers were what they were was because Romo missed 3 games and was replaced by Brad Johnson. In the 3 games without Tony Romo at QB, T.O. had 12 catches for 100 yards and 1 TD! And that 1 TD wasn't even thrown by Brad, it was thrown by Brooks Bollinger after Brad completely flamed out in New York. In the 3 games after Romo return, T.O. had 17 catches for 349 yards and 2 TDs. Yeah, he really lost a step.

And guess what?? All of Dallas' receiver's numbers were down in last season! Jason Witten finished 2008 with 81 catches for 952 yard and 4 TDs. He finished 2007 with 96 catches for 1,145 yards and 7 TDs. Did his skills diminish?? Is he getting old?? Of course not! He was affected by Romo's absence too!

How about Patrick Crayton?? PC had 50 catches for 697 yards and 7 TDs in 2007. In 2008 his numbers dropped to 39 catches for 550 yards and 4 TDs! This is no coincidence, but nobody ever talks about this, its always that "T.O. is old" or "T.O. has lost a step." What the fuck??? Matter of fact, even without Romo, T.O. STILL had better numbers than all the other Cowboy WR combined! (69, 1,052, and 10 for T.O., 73, 1,050, and 8 for the other WRs.)

Now, the question is this: Who's gonna replace him in the line-up?? Roy Williams half way sucks, T.J. Houshmandzadeh just signed with Seattle the other day, the Bengals just lost T.J. so I doubt they're gonna give up Chad Johnson, we don't have the ammo to bring in Anquan Boldin, Plax is still on the Giants roster, Marvin Harrison actually is too old, and we don't have a high enough draft pick to bring in Michael Crabtree or Jeremy Maclin, hell I don't even think we have a good enough pick to bring in Percy Havin or Hakeem Nicks. What are we going to do?? This move made us instantly worse and there's no solution in sight. Example: The Eagles are STILL looking for a replacement for Terrell 'til this day!

The last thing I wanna touch on is Jerry Jones and his lies. Just last week he said the team hadn't even discussed releasing Terrell and that he put a gag order on the entire organization. Now, somebody explain to me how today T.O. is off the roster and Cowboy "sources" helped break the story?? Jerry Jones you are a liar! You are also a man without balls as you've let Ed Werder and the rest of these media goons con you into giving up your best receiver. Lets not forget that T.O. didn't bobble the snap in Seattle, he didn't throw the INT into the end zone against the Giants, he didn't let the Eagles put up 44 points in the season finale. The scrap goat is gone, now the pressure is on.
