Random News Shit: NFL Headlines
2) Jay Cutler & Matt Forte Head To IR
Not sure exactly what the Bears were waiting for with this decision, they had to know they weren't making the playoffs after Caleb Hanie's first start.
Sad. Sad. Sad.

Random News Shit: More NFL Shit Edition
1) Braylon Edwards Finally Finds Work In San Francisco
After being disown by the Jets and implicated in a bar fight, Braylon Edwards finally lands a deal with San Francisco (after they sent out a mass e-mail notifying teams Taylor Mays was available). The deal is only for 1 year and is worth just $3.5 million. Damn.
The deal is $35 million over 5 years with $17 million in guarantees. Damn good deal if you ask me.
4) Olin Kreutz Lands In New Orleans
The man the Bears locker room wept for, Olin Kreutz, decided not to retire and signed a one year deal with the Saints worth "between $2 million and $3 million." Good for him.
(Side note: When I said the locker room wept, I don't mean it literally.)
5) Kevin Boss Joins The Raiders
The Raiders loss Zach Miller to the Seahawks, so they replace him with Kevin Boss. The deal is 4 years, $16 million and very welcomed by me as a Cowboy fan.

Random News Shit: NFL Headlines Edition
This move coming 2 days after Reid said Kevin Kolb would be the starter means one thing and one thing only: Reid's job is on the line. If Reid had job security, he would've went with Kevin Kolb and let him work through his issues. But since he needs to win now to keep his job, he can't afford to keep a player as talented as Mike Vick on the bench. That's just what it is.
That was my objective view as a football fan, here's how I really feel as a Cowboy fan: This blows!
Obviously Vick gives the Eagles the best chance to win, and with the Cowboys already 0-2, it makes our road to the playoffs even tougher. And on top of that, I want to see Mike Vick do well, and that's really why this blows. I mean, what the fuck?? I can't root for Philly, I'm a Dallas fan, but I do want Vick to succeed. I'm not torn in my allegiance, I'm 100% Cowboy, but this just sucks. Fuck!
*Readies pro Kevin Kolb chants for Sunday*
2) Braylon Edwards Arrested For DWI
What an idiot! I know it's been said 1,000 times already today, but Braylon, you live in New York GET A FUCKIN' CAB!
(Side note: If Madden really wants to get realistic, on Madden 12 they should delete that wack ass swagger rating and insert a character rating and suspensions. Guys with low character ratings end up with random suspensions (DWI, found with gun, club fight, domestic violence, and of course rape). Oh, and anybody could get suspended for taking performance enhancing drugs. That would be AWESOME! It gets no realer than that. Get on that EA.)
3) Reggie Bush Breaks A Leg
Man, 2010 sucks for Reggie Bush. Oh well, all I wanna know is why couldn't he have broke his leg a little closer to Thanksgiving?? I'm just saying.
4) Brandon Jacobs Fined For Helmet Toss
How many cameras are there in football stadiums these days?? Well how was this alleged helmet toss not caught by any of them?? You'd think the NFL would at least want to see what exactly happened before they issued a fine, but I guess not.
5) Redskins Cut Larry Johnson
The Redskins couldn't get any use out of Larry Johnson?? I'm shocked!
(Side note: I wonder when was the last time he talked to Jay-Z?? He was on the Roc for less time than Teairra Mari.)

Braylon's Punching Victim??
I won't spend much time on this, but what are the chances that LeBron's mini friend from this State Farm commercial is the same mini friend that Braylon Edwards punched the other day?? Just wondering...

Browns Trade Braylon Edwards To Jets
Now lets talk about how shitty of a deal this is: What the FUCK are the Browns doing??? They traded their best WR for Jason Trusnik, Chansi Stuckey, and a pair of draft picks. Yeah, Braylon drops a lot of passes, but the Jets are getting him for what amounts to a bag of kicker's cleats. They couldn't get any more than that?? I mean we know those draft picks aren't 1st or 2nd rounders, so basically they just gave him away. Oh well, they suck anyway so it really doesn't matter.
Lets go ahead and get an over/under going on how long it takes Braylon to get in trouble in New York. Oh yeah, its gonna happen. If he's getting in trouble going to nightclubs in Cleveland, there's no telling what's gonna happen when he touches down in NY. Maybe he'll punch out 3 little people?? Maybe he'll be out boozing with a teammate before they kill somebody again (shout out to Donte Stallworth lol)?? The possibilities are endless! I'm setting it at 1.5 years and I'm going under!
Oh, and I hope New York is satisfied because this is the ONLY Cleveland star they are getting because now LeBron is DEFINITELY not going there now lol.

Random News Shit: NFL Headlines Edition
Yes, you read correct, I said "LeBron's pint-sized friend." This guy we're talking about is 5'7", 135! Braylon is 6'3", 215! He should feel ashamed of himself for beating up this little dude. I mean it was probably already hard for lil man to prove he was grown and get into the club, then Braylon's ol' non-catching ass wanna punch him out. I'm assuming he was salty over not catching any passes Sunday, but you still can't do this. Hold up, he caught 0 passes and his team lost Sunday, what in the hell was he at the club anyway?? This nigga is brave, if I played for a team as sorry as the Browns, I'd probably stay my ass home. Not because I'd be scared, but because I'd be too embarrassed. Maybe that's just me.
2) Michael Crabtree Flies To San Fran To Re-Open Negotiations
Better late than never I guess, but Crabtree (neither crab, nor tree lol) was still getting TERRIBLE advice from the people around him. I still don' get the logic, you were picked 10th, you can't get 5th pick money because you weren't the 5th pick, you were 10th. Its simple. I guess they were banking on the 49ers needing his services to be a good team, but with them getting off to a 3-1 start, that couldn't be any further from the truth.
I hope he does good, but I could easily see him falling into the Mike Williams/Charles Rodgers/Peter Warrick WR Bust Hall Of Fame.
3) Eli Manning Diagnosed With Plantar Fasciitis
He's said to be day-to-day, but if I was advising him, I'd tell him to sit Sunday's game out. You're just playing the Raiders and you don't wanna aggravate it and make it worse when you have to go to New Orleans the next week. I'm sure the Giants don't need Eli to beat the Raiders the way JaMarcus Russell is playing.
4) Donovan McNabb Back To Practice
Looks like McNabb is gonna be back this Sunday to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Good for him.
5) Matthew Stafford Day-To-Day With Knee Injury
I guess it was one of those things that looks worse than it actually is because I thought dude was gonna be out for an extended period of time.

Random News Shit: Pre-Draft Mingling Edition
1) KC send Tony Gonzalez to ATL for 2nd-round pick in 2010
Dammit! I hate to admit it but Atlanta is gonna be fuckin' good next year. I can see them easily winning at least 12 games and doing some damage in the playoffs. I'm sad :-(.
2) Lions work on signing Matt Stafford before the draft
Sigh. The Lions need so much more than just a QB. Good thing they robbed my Cowboys for another 1st round pick in that bullshit Roy Williams trade.
3) Giants, Browns trade talks for Braylon Edwards dead
Finally, some good news! No, not that Braylon isn't coming to the NFC East, but rather the fact that if the Giants are too cheap to give up what it takes for him, you know they aren't gonna give up what it'd take for Anquan Boldin. O happy day!
4) Panthers give Delhomme 5-yr, $42.5 million extension
LMAO!! I guess the Panthers still haven't figure out that they won last year despite Jake Delhomme and not because of him. I guess time heals all wounds because after that performance against the Cards this past January, he'd be paying me if he wanted to play for my team again lol. This guy has 1, maybe 2 decent years left in him at best.
5) Cowboys re-sign Miles Austin
Who knows why this guy was left lingering on the open market for as long as he was, but thank goodness Dallas re-signed him. Austin having a big year could be the difference between making the playoffs or going fishing.
