I can't lie, my interest in this game has waned over the past few months because of how far we still are from the September 17th release date...but man, these trailers are SICK! Are we sure they're not gonna say fuck it and drop this on the PS4? The graphics are absolutely insane and might be pushing the PS3 to its limits. Either way, I cannot wait! ...Fuck! Why September?! I know everyone has seen this by now, but I had to post it anyway because I'm so fucking excited about it.
So who do you think the main character is going to be? My brother said the guy narrating the video sounded a lot like Tommy Vercetti from Vice City. That would be ill, but as he also pointed out Tommy would be too old if this game is set in 2012, and it would be no fun playing with a dude with who had to pick up his Cialis before banging hookers in the alley.
Well whatever Rockstar decides to do, I'm fucking ready!

NBA 2K12 NBA's Greatest Trailer
This year I'm finally gonna give up on NBA Live NBA Elite and try out NBA 2K. It's cool they're bringing the legends back (even though EA already did that on NBA Live years ago), but is it just me or do these graphic suck? Aren't we supposed to be impressed with the trailer? I couldn't stop thinking about how much it looked like a PS2 game.
Oh well, we'll see how it goes once it comes out. Sigh.

If you were wondering why Freddy Krueger was trending on Twitter all day yesterday and still this morning, it's because he's been added Mortal Kombat as downloadable content. Of course it'll cost you $5 to do so, but I guess it's nice to know the option is there.

Peyton Hillis Wins Madden 12 Cover
Actually, I'm not even positive he won and EA Sports didn't just go in a room and say, "We CANNOT put Michael Vick on the cover again!" Then again, Hillis did put out the new golden boy, Aaron Rodgers, in the previous round, so maybe he did beat Vick in a vote?
Well, whatever the case is, the city of Cleveland should be pissed. On the surface, it's awesome to get the recognition, but in the grand scheme of things, now your always shitty team just got the Madden curse placed on its best player. I like Hillis (he was my fantasy MVP last season), so I hope nothing happens to him, but if it did, no one should be surprised.
(Side note: Hopefully EA brings the speed burst button back on Madden 12.)

I'm still not sold on this whole NBA Elite shit, but the graphics do look nice though. I JUST got off my ass and bought Madden 11 so I'm not even sure I'll be investing my money in an NBA game this year. I don't know we'll see.

NBA Jam First Look Coverage With The Irate Gamer
If you're not familiar with the Irate Gamer, he's a popular YouTuber known for his creative and hilarious video game reviews. I've been watching his videos for a couple years now, and I can't believe this is the first time I'm posting something from him.
Anyway, NBA Jam looks dope! I'm not gonna lie, I'm seriously considering investing in a Wii just to play it...well I'd go buy Mario and some other shit too, but NBA Jam could be what pops shit off. I wish my cousin was free so we could play this like we used to in the 90's, but hopefully he'll be out by the time I get it. NBA Jam hits stores October 5th.

NBA Live Is No More
I was just gingerly scrolling through ESPN's video game blog when I came across this post from June about NBA Elite 11. Apparently this news was broken earlier this year, but EA failed to inform loyal NBA Live purchaser Kevin Chestnut. Hold on, I think I need a moment.

Now as a fan of NBA Live since it's 1995 version for Super Nintendo (before you could even create a player), I'm both outraged and sad. Why change the name, why not just make a better game?? It's not like you can re-package the shitty NBA Live 10 under a different name and I'd buy it. I need some improvement from that turd bowl, beginning with restoring the controls back to normal.
When I tell you I only played Live 10 twice, I literally mean I've only played it twice, and I didn't make it out of the first quarter either game. I just could not get a hang of the new controls, nor was I interested in learning. So yeah, that was a waste of money, but even I wasn't mad to the point I wanted the series to be changed to something else.
I must say, I'm having a tough time wrapping my brain about being a NBA Elite guy, but I've come to my decision. This year, this is tough, I'm gonna be taking my NBA video game talents to 2K Sports. I'm going buy NBA 2K11. Sorry, Kevin Durant.

Drew Brees On Madden 11 Cover
August 10th is the date of Madden NFL 11's release and now we know Drew Brees is going to be on the cover. This is great news seeing the Cowboys have the Saints on schedule for Thanksgiving Day. That's week 12, so hopefully the Madden Curse has kicked in by then.

GTA: The Ballad Of Gay Tony Trailer
Interesting concept and title for a game. When my brother first told me about it I swore he was lying too. Now the question looms: Are you secure enough in your sexuality to check for fruity game about some nigga named Gay Tony?? I don't know, I might have to cop it with a disguise on lol.
TBOGT (which it will be called on this website from this point forward) is supposed to be dropping on October 29th. I'll probably end up waiting for it to come out on PS3 though because I the Xbox controllers. Then again, "The Lost & Damned" never re-released in PS3 format so maybe that last sentence is just wishful thinking.
