What Ever Happened To This Record??

I had completely forgot about this record until my homegirl (who is a T.I. FANATIC in every sense of the word) reminded me over the weekend. I just happened to be on Diddy's YouTube channel and there was it was. Now I've never heard the actual song, but what they were recording sounded sweet so I dunno why it didn't make the album. Check it out all of you who missed it back in '06:


Shit sounds like it would've been crack to me. T.I. Vs. T.I.P. probably could've used a record like this and Paper Trail DEFINITELY could after that Hunt Em Down leaked Sunday lol (Sorry I didn't post it but I will later with the rest of the music if you haven't heard it yet).

What Ever Happened To Chino XL??

Good question right?? Chino's first album came out in '96, but he could never seem to catch a break in the industry until he one day became forgotten. Maybe it was because 2Pac said "fuck you" to him at the end of Hit Em Up, but whatever the reason, dude was nice! Just check out this video I stole from illseed lol:


I have no idea when this was, but Chino KILLED it!

Anyway, after a little research I found out that Chino just released a new CD last week on the 15th with somebody named Playalitical called Something Sacred. Other than that, I found out he signed to Sway & Tech's Bolo Entertainment where he released a mixtape and a new single with Chamillionaire. The song is called Hands In The Sky (Diss Me), but its wack as fuck so don't look for Chino to break through into the mainstream off of it lol.

Some things are just best left in the best, but Chino XL was (and still is) a beast so best of luck to him in whatever he does next.

What Ever Happened To: MTV Rock N' Jock??

One of the most memorable things about MTV when I was younger was the yearly Rock N' Jock competitions. If were born anytime after like 1995-96 (yes Kody, that means you lol), you probably have no idea what I'm talking about because, I believe, the last one was in 2001 for Super Bowl XXXV where the Baltimore Ravens toted the New York Giants 34-7. Most of you mid-90's babies were fresh out having a life overwhelmed by Nick Jr. and thrust into kindergarten, how cute!

Anyway, Rock N' Jock was an event where the most trendy celebrities joined forces with the hottest players of basketball, football, and baseball to play a charity game in their respective sport. Man, MTV is fuckin' up! I mean its bad enough their is an abundance of wack shows this season (all of which cater to a certain persuasion), but not only do they not play many music video or music related programs, Justin Timberlake, they took away good shit like this. Who knows why Rock N' Jock crossed my mind today, but I sure wish they'd bring it back. Maybe I'm just living in the past, am I alone here?? I guess so lol.
