Thursday Billboard Update - 11/1/12
In other Billboard 200 news, Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d. city checks in at #2 with 241,000. I'm mad they didn't give Kendrick his own week because Taylor Swift's crazy numbers completely overshadowed what would normally be an incredible #1 debut.
For the 6th straight week Maroon 5's One More Night and Psy's Gangnam Style are #1 and #2 on the Hot 100. Leaping into the top 10 this week are Bruno Mars' Locked Out Of Heaven (15-7) and Chris Brown's Don't Wake Me Up (11-10).

We have a new #1 on the Hot 100 this week and it's Far*East Movement's Like A G6. Now I've never heard this song, but I did hear this group was from L.A., so I'm sure it's wack. Anyway, debuting at #6 is Taylor Swift's Back To December. Finally, Trey Songz's Bottoms Up featuring Nicki Minaj moves up 3 spots 13-10 this week. This marks the first top 10 single Nicki Minaj has been apart of.

There's one newbie in the top 10 this week as Taylor Swift's Speak Now debuts at #8.

Thursday Billboard Update - 8/12/10
After being beat out by Avenged Sevenfold's Nightmare by 3,847 albums last week, Eminem's Recovery still can't recover the #1 spot being best by 4,006 by Arcade Fire's The Suburbs this week. Recovery moves 152,073 in its 7th week and The Suburbs sells 156,079 in its first. What a great problem to have if you're Eminem. I'm sure his double platinum status next week will make up for it. Recovery has sold 1,980,373 copies thus far.
Also, Bun B's Trill O.G. debuts at #4 with 40,530 sold.
Eminem and Rihanna's Love The Way You Lie retains the #1 spot over on the Hot 100 this week, but there's no telling how long that will last as Taylor Swift new single Mine debuts at #3 after only a few days of its release.

They Reminisce Over Ye
The guys from ItsTheReal.com took my lead and took a bit of a break, but they are back strong (as am I). This is an instant classic and I feel the expect same way! I would have paid to see Kanye just come out at some point during the Grammys. So what you will, but every year Kanye performs, he has the night's best performance. Feel how you want, but Yeezy is that nigga!
This is all probably good thing because Kanye is going back home to Hip-Hop and you know he's coming with some shit! I can't fuckin' wait!

Thursday Billboard Update - 1/28/10
Last week the Billboard charts were minding their business and everything was status quo. Then the Hope For Haiti Now telethon happened. Subsequently a compilation CD by the same name was released and sold 171,000 in the 2 days before SoundScan closes the week of sales. Imagine if it was afforded the other 4 days most albums get by being released on a Tuesday, it may have went gold. Well definitely look out for big numbers out of this compilation album again next week.
Hope For Haiti Now's effects were not just felt on the Billboard 200, but on the Hot 100 as well as Taylor Swift's Today Was A Fairytale debuts at #2. The 325,000 digital downloads also makes its good for the biggest first week of digital sales by a female artist all-time. Also debuting inside the top 10 this week is Justin Bieber's Baby featuring Ludacris at #5. And yes, Ludacris should be ashamed of himself.
