Fuck the Billboard 200! Michael Jackson's Number Ones should be #1 this week but because of some dumb rule about "catalog albums" (any album that's more than 18-months old and is below 100 is a "catalog album") being ineligible to appear on the Billboard 200. So even though MJ sold enough records to have all 3 of the top spots on the Billboard 200, he will not appear. That is straight bullshit. So fuck the Billboard 200!
Instead, this week we'll look at the Top Pop Catalog charts will Michael holds 9 of the top 10 spots by selling a combined 415,000 records since he passed away last Thursday! And keep in mind that SoundScan only counts up until Sunday night so all of this is done in about a 3-4 day span! Incredible!
