Thursday Billboard Update - 2/21/13
Some bullshit is popping over on the Hot 100 as Billboard and Nielsen has retardedly (new word alert!) decided to revamp its system to incorporate YouTube streaming, which allowed Baauer's much parodied Harlem Shake to debut at #1. This is stupid on many levels, but none more than the fact that only a small fraction of those streams came from people listening to the song past the first 30 seconds. PSY must be pissed (though it should be noted that Gangnam Style is up 22 spots 48-26 because of this).
In other, more logical, Hot 100 news, Rihanna grabs her 24th top 10 song (and passes Whitney Houston and the Rolling Stones who both have 23) as Stay soars 54 spots 57-3 in its 2nd week. (I'm sure the 29.5 million YouTube views had a lot to do with it.) And lastly, Drake's Started From The Bottom skies 53 spots 63-10 also in its 2nd week.

New Eminem Album Coming In 2013!
According to Shady president Paul Rosenberg, Eminem, who last Bad Meets Evil's "Hell: The Sequel" with Royce Da 5'9 in 2011, is "far into the process" of recording his untitled eighth studio album, due after Memorial Day. "We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He's been working on it for some time," Rosenberg tells Billboard, who was included on this year's Billboard Power 100 list. "It's safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we're not exactly sure when. We've got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we're trying to see what else lines up."
Yes, yes, and yes again!

Josh Freeman As Michael Jackson!
ESPN The Magazine has a new music issue in these streets and it has all kinda goodies in it like LaMarr Woodley, Marshawn Lynch and Trent Richardson as Run-D.M.C., James Stewart as Rick James, and Allyson Felix as Beyonce. (And that's not even mentioning the fact that LeBron James and Dr. Dre are on the freaking cover!) But if you ask me, there's nothing better in the issue than Tampa Bay QB Josh Freeman dressed up as Michael Jackson because he looks like a long lost Jackson already. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if his resemblance to the Jacksons is what brought the idea for the issue up in the first place.
Anyway, enjoy the behind-the-scenes look above, Josh's interview with the mag, and his official MJ photos.

The Hot Pod podcast is back! This week we talk about this young floozy Jaide getting beat up, bikini basketball, Wild N Out, new additions to the Sextape List, JoJo Simmons, the Super Bowl and so much more!
Drake - Started From The Bottom
The first time I heard it I couldn't figure out if it was going to be incredibly catchy or incredibly annoying, but after randomly singing "started from the bottom now we here" for the past hour, I think I have my answer. The Mike Zombie beat is hard as fuck, the lyrics are dope, the hook is catchy, and the flow is...well, the flow is Juvenile's, but I'll give him a pass because it's jammin' (yes, that's right, make good music and you get a pass).
Can't wait to hear how the folks who hate Drake for no real reason pick this one apart. I'm excited.
