That's what's up, hopefully this project goes better for Foxx than Affion's show did. I wonder what the Sandman has been up to since Apollo was last on TV? Selling weed? Turning tricks? Fixing cars? If anybody knows, hit me up.
Fuck all that though, if I ever get to interview Tony Rock the first thing I'm asking him is if he's Drew from Everybody Hates Chris. I've been wondering that shit for years!

The Brain Storm With Mel Gibson, Jamie Foxx & Garry Shandling
This is some damn good stuff right here. Of course Foxx and Shandling were funny, but Mel Gibson held his own too. And who knew Mel could be likeable again after he went crazy a couple years back? That's wild.

Thursday Billboard Update - 12/30/10
Like I told you all last week, Bruno Mars' Grenade would close out 2010 at #1, and it does. Good job by me. Anyway, in "things I thought I'd never say when I first heard the song" news, Wiz Khalifa scores his first top 10 with Black & Yellow rising 6 spaces 12-6. Let's be honest, this song is mediocre at best, but I'll show the kid some love because I never thought he'd make it this far when illseed first gave him some shine in like 2005 (or whenever that was). Also jumping into the top 10 is Enrique Iglesias' Tonight (I'm Lovin' You) with Ludacris and DJ Frank E at #7.

Katy Perry's Firework is still #1, but it's becoming increasingly obvious that Bruno Mars' Grenade will finish the year out at #1, as it inches into the #2 spot this week. The biggest news on the Hot 100 this week is Lil Wayne bursting into the top 10 at #9 with his first post-prison single 6 Foot 7 Foot with Cory Gunz. It'll be interesting to see where it goes from here.

Jamie Foxx - Fall For Your Type/Living Better Now/Yep, That’s Me

Beautiful song. The club shit is cool, but this is the Jamie Foxx shit that I like to hear.
I know you had a hit with auto-tune in '08 Foxx, but it's time to let it go. Everyone else has.
Outside of the auto-tune, I do like this song.
Yawn.

Rick Ross - BMF Spoof
This really wasn't all that funny, but I fucks with Affion so he gets an A for effort.
Anyway, what was up with the "Affion Crockett Show" promo at the beginning?? I thought he was gonna be on Jamie Foxx's FOX show "The After Party"?? Or is that just what they are changing Foxx's show title to?? I don't know, but when I get this sorted out, I'll spread the news.

Jamie Foxx Sitdown Interview With T.I.
Man, I'm glad to have T.I. home! That Fuck A Mixtape is jammin' and this was a great interview. The other 3 parts are after the jump.
(Side note: Foxx might have a future as a talk show host. Oprah is about to be out of the game and I heard Fox isn't gonna pick up his sketch comedy show, so why not?? I doubt he will, but its a thought.)
April 26, 2010
Jamie Foxx - Rock Bottom
The song definitely sounds Foxx-ish, but the voice just doesn't sound 100% like him to me. It could just be me. Is it really just me?? I hope the hell not lol. Either way, I love the song, so I co-sign!

Thursday Billboard Update - 4/15/10
Remember back in March when I said, "this should be an interesting few weeks ahead of us," after B.o.B's Nothin' On You moved up to #2, Lady Gaga's Telephone moved up to #3, and Drake's Over jumped up to #17?? Well these few weeks that followed couldn't have been more boring. The tradition keeps this week as basically nothing happens on the Hot 100 besides Usher's OMG taking Young Money's Bed Rock's spot in the top 10.
The Billboard 200 1-10
first week debuts in bold
1. Justin Bieber - My World 2.0 (2-1)

9. Erykah Badu - New Amerykah, Part Two: Return of the Ankh (4-9)
10. Madonna - Sticky & Sweet Tour (10)
- Lil Wayne's Rebirth finally goes gold this week, and that was only after 10 weeks and a bunch of "he's going to jail, he's not going to jail" publicity. If he ain't a Hot Boy, then what do you call that??

1. Rihanna - Rude Boy (1-1)
2. B.o.B - Nothin' On You (2-2)

- Timbaland and Katy Perry's If We Ever Meet Again jumps 15 spots 74-59.
- B.o.B is definitely on fire right now. If you couldn't tell by Nothin' On You resting at #2 for the past 3 weeks, you should be able to tell by his 2nd single Don't Let Me Fall debuting at #67 after being release just a week ago on the 7th. Nice!

Now this looks good! I'm a big Jamie Foxx fan, but Gerard Butler looks like he's gonna be incredible in this movie. We shall soon see. "Law Abiding Citizen" hits theaters October 16th.

Jamie Foxx - Digital Girl (Remix) (feat. Drake, The-Dream & Kanye West) Video
Damn, Ryan Leslie ripped that first verse, ain't it?? Wait, that wasn't Ryan Leslie? That was Drake?? What?? Nigga you jivin'!
In all seriousness though Drake absolutely murdered his verse (which I believe I stated somewhere at some point) and actually does Kanye better than Kanye on this one. Granted he got to write his verse months after Kanye wrote his, he still took Ye's style and kill it in such a way that I can't even be mad at him for it.
As far as the video goes, I like it. I love Foxx, but I must admit its a bit hard to look him in the eye after those nude pics of him surfaced last week. Its gonna take me some time to get back on Team Foxx after that lol.
Speaking of Jamie, he's bringing the Blame It tour to Broward County next week for Michael Jackson's birthday so expect to see an especially crazy show that night. Get your tickets now because I'm sure they're going fast!

Thursday Billboard Update - 7/16/09
Maxwell's BLACKsummers'night had a big opening week over on the Billboard 200, selling over 316,000 records, but I'm still boycotting that chart as long as Michael Jackson continues to outsell everybody on it and still be kept off. Now before I move forward, I just wanted to acknowledge Jamie Foxx's Intuition finally crossing the 1 million sold mark this week.
Over on the Hot 100, even despite females lying and acting like they hated Drake's Best I Ever Had video, the song continues to succeed and reached #2 today. That's a new high. Is he going for #1 next week?? And debuting at #10 is Hannah Montana's He Could Be The One.

A Few Thoughts On The BET Awards '09
Aight, lets start with the good (it'll be much quicker):
I loved the Jamie Foxx, Beat It dance intro from the tight ass Michael Jackson outfit to the Smooth Criminal lean assisted by the chick holding him up by the chest. Nice touch. Foxx's opening monologue was okay, I had already heard that story on Friday's episode of Foxxhole Radio so it didn't do anything for me but I was rolling when he tried to Moonwalk and down near busted his ass lol. Foxx was a great host.
Good thing #2 was Ne-Yo singing Lady In My Life. Lovely cover, well besides seeing Ne-Yo hatless. Jamie's Blame It performance was pretty hot but I wish Snoop started crippin' when he came out. Travis Barker was a nice touch too and at that point BET broke a record for most white people at a BET Awards.
The next good thing to happen was the D.O.A. performance by Jay-Z. That really kicked the show up a notch because shit was going pretty bad. Question: Why was Beyonce acting like she didn't know Jay was there?? Y'all came in the same limo girl lol.
I also liked the Tevin Campbell, Tyrese, Trey Songz tribute to the O'Jays. Then I loved Eddie Levert saying "snow was falling, when was blowin', people was dancing' and shit" live on TV... and then getting his hand stuck in the award lol. The O'Jays' actual performance was pretty dope too. The funniest part was when they were jammin' and Soulja Boy was standing there like he never heard of these niggas in his life.
Good moments are running low at this point and I must say next that I was loving Maxwell singing Pretty Wings! That boy is bad! And of course I loved how they closed the show out with Janet speaking for the first time since Michael passed and then Jamie and Ne-Yo sang I'll Be There for the most touching moment of the night.
Okay, now that we got that out of the way, lets get to all the bad shit that happened.
First off I gotta touch on the constant failed attempts at censorship. I don't know who was running the bleeper, but that nigga most likely doesn't have a job today. He/She literally missed every bleep by at least a second or 2 (Ex. on Jeremih's Birthday Sex he/she was trying to bleep out sex but was late and ended up just bleeping out "birthday" so it sounded like this: "Birthday sex...sex...sex...sex"). Not to mention that person didn't even make an attempt at bleeping Eddie Levert. I mean, I wasn't there but I saw that shit coming from the beginning of the sentence (and shit). Oh yeah, and I KNOW Wayne isn't cussin' THAT much in Every Girl's 1st verse. It was somewhat vulgar (from what I remember, I actually flip it whenever it comes on) but they had it sounding like the 2Pac's Still Ballin' radio edit (and shit).
I appreciated New Edition all coming together to do a tribute for Michael Jackson BUT they probably should've left Bobby Brown doing...um, what ever it is that Bobby Brown does. I mean it was one thing for me not to understand what he was saying, but that tongue thing he did was just damn disrespectful (and shit).
Other terrible performances included the following: Keri Hilson (I love Keri but that wasn't great), Soulja Boy (I've never heard that song all the way through before last night and never realized there were only about 8 more lyrics to be said in it after the first hook), Mary Mary (Lord forgive me, but that song was Blame It with gospel lyrics. Same beat, same candence), and Ciara (all the MJ songs and she landed on We Are The World??).
The final terrible performance was so bad it needed a paragraph of its own. That performance was given by Drake, Lil Wayne, Baby, and some other niggas. First off, not only did Drake not even make an attempt to sing the Best I Ever Had hook, but he also sat through his whole set. That's only cool if you're singing R&B, he was rapping R&B. Then Wayne comes out for Every Girl and Drake continues to sit. To make matters worse, a gang of little under-aged girls come out and dance around Drake as Wayne spits "I wish I could love every girl in the world, I wish could could love every girl in the world" (Yeah they changed "fuck" to "love" but the nigga with the bleeper tried to bleep it anyway...unsuccessfully of course lol). Classy. Oh, and how bad do you feel for the other niggas performing?? I mean BET literally kept the camera on Wayne and Drake throughout everyone else's verse (by the way, where was Jae Millz?? Was he too busy not dropping Back To The Future??). Nothing was better than Lil Wayne saying, "R.I.P. Michael Jackson (2 seconds pass) I'm always strapped when I'm in the club." Nothing says rest in peace like letting niggas know you're strapped and ready to shot. It was just really bad and I'm glad this wasn't the final performance (and shit).
Back to other terrible things that weren't performances, how wack was it that they were rushing through the awards and giving them out 2 at a time?? Its the BET AWARDS, we couldn't find time to at least announce who was nominated (and shit)?? I think there would've been plenty of time if we cut some of the useless performances I mentioned above (mainly Keri, Mary Mary, and Drake/Wayne).
Oh yeah, they also could've saved time had Don Cornelius never taken the stage. What the fuck was that?? Nobody thought it'd be a good idea to start playing him off the stage with music or cutting his mic?? I know he's Don Cornelius but come on now, nigga was up there sounding senile as shit (and shit).
Here's a short list of things you could've started and completed during the time Don was on the stage:
-Run to the store
-Throw something on the grill
-Sown an American flag
-Watch Forrest Gump
-Watch the entire 2009 BET Awards
Long story short, he was up there for a long ass time (makes you wonder how retarded his ex-wife was that she let him beat her ass last year). Though I must admit, I can't wait to hear the inevitable "my money/gun/dick/ is longer than a Don Cornelius speech" punchline in a rap song coming soon lol.
The "Baby Boy" reunion was dope except for these 2 things: 1) Ving Rhames being drunk and trying to start a "Michael Jackson is guns" chant and 2) Snoop not coming out in a wife beater. You can't tell me the most memorable part in "Baby Boy" wasn't laughing at Snoop's bony body. You just can't.
And last, but not least, does Debra Lee have to speak at every BET Awards?? Does MTV's COO come out and speak at the VMAs?? Does the COO of the Recording Academy come out and speak at the Grammys?? Okay, so why does she make a space for herself every years?? Also, why didn't they bring up Alicia Keys and Wyclef at the same time?? Another way they could've saved time had they skipped over separate speeches.
Overall, the 2009 BET Awards were more so a mess than anything else. A lot of people are blaming it on them revamping the show to make it a Michael Jackson tribute, but if you sit and watch the show again you'll realize basically everything they wanted to do for MJ went on without a hitch while they shit they should've had in order was fucked up (Keri, censoring, Don Cornelius, etc.). This show left much to be desired and when it was all over I was feeling more like ?uestlove ("I wish BET died and MJ did a tribute to them") than anything else.
But guess what?? I'd do it all again because it brought me so much joy and laughter (intentionally and unintentionally).

Random News Shit
1) Jamie Foxx To Host 2009 BET Awards
This is GREAT news! I've been waiting for him to host another award show since he KILLED it on the MTV Awards a few years back. I actually thought he had become too big of a star to do this (especially for BET), but I'm glad to see he's still showing love. This is gonna be weird though because I'm sure he's nominated for some awards and on tap to perform. Oh well, who better to multi-task than Foxx??
Anyway, the BET Awards are gonna be popping off on SUNDAY June 28th. This should be interesting.
2) The Game Working On The R.E.D. Album
Surprise, surprise, The Game has decided not to retire after L.A.X. lol. Allegedly the name of the album has nothing to do with him being a blood or Jay-Z's Black Album, but rather a rededication to Hip-Hop. Right.
3) Alfamega Is Facing More Than 10 Years In Prison
Damn, shit just can't get no worse for this nigga.
4) 'Flavor Of Love' Girl Saaphyri Serving Prison Time
She's charged with failing to show up to court after being arrested for using a dead relative's identity to buy things like breast implants. Apparently she's in there doing 3 pieces! I wonder how Mo'Nique feels about this?? lol.
5) Willie D Arrest In iPhone Scam; Faces 20 Years
This one here is just sad because Willie D is a fuckin' legend! I hope this all gets resolved and homie doesn't have to do 20 hard ones in the joint.

Brisco Threatens Jamie Foxx For Crackin' On Flo Rida
Ooh, look what Fiyah found!
Now I like Brisco, I think dude makes some pretty good music and I like his flow, but nigga shut the FUCK up! Bris sounds silly as fuck on here.
All I wanna know is this: Why is this man so sensitive?? It kinda bothers me how sensitive he gets whenever somebody even mentions Flo Rida's name. I understand y'all niggas cool and all, but you aren't that man's momma, let him fight his own battles. Obviously Flo understands Jamie is a comedian doing what he does and didn't think the shit was a big deal, so why are YOU mad??
Makes no sense to me, but damn, am I the only one who thinks these rappers now-a-days are waaaay too overtly sensitive??
Anyway, here's my top 10 list of things Brisco could've been doing instead of threatening a comedian.
10) Getting off Flo Rida's meat.
9) Making sure his album actually comes out one day.
8) Stop drinking and driving.
7) Hold Lil Wayne's carry-on bag.
6) Getting some more golds (he's gotta be the only nigga under 45 to have just one gold tooth lol).
5) Figure out why none of his singles have worked.
4) Figure out how Drake got ahead of him on Lil Wayne's list of priorities.
3) Learn better sentence structure so he doesn't say things like, "And I'm fucked up and I'm in my right mind though."
2) Found a group for all sensitive rappers (I hear Young Buck and The Game are available).
