This Week In Flops 9/2/08
If you wanna make your own picks and challenge me just leave them in the comments & I'll post them and we'll see who comes out on top when the numbers come in next Thursday.
On Jeezy's first 2 albums the buzz wasn't huge, but he had 2 major showings. I don't think he'll be so lucky this time though his first week numbers will still be impressive by most standards. I'm guessing The Recession does just under 200,000 and falls somewhere in the 185k-200k range.
Execs all across the industry need to take notes from Diddy on how NOT to have your albums leak early. Even though Donnie's album isn't in high demand, that shit sure didn't leak and the same can be said about Day26's debut and Danity Kane's sophomore LP. I dunno how he does it, but take notes. Anyway, I know nothing about this album, but something tells me its gonna flop HARD! I think Puff's best bet was to drop this back in March with DK and Day26 when Bad Boy was hot. I don't see this album doing anything outside of 40k-60k
First things first, why is this album titled "Back By Blockular Demand: Serve & Collect II" instead of the logical "Serve & Collect II: Back By Blockular Demand"?? Make no sense to me, but whatever. Anyway, their first album Serve & Collect did 12,000 in its first week and I expect about the same thing time so I'm gonna go with 8k-15k.
Question: do we care that Terrence Howard is dropping an album?? No disrespect to him, but I don't know anything about this project, nor have I heard one song or seen one piece of a video. Its hard for me to guess this one so I'm just gonna go low and say 5k-15k. Hopefully I'm close, but I doubt it lol.

I saw this the other day on FNMTV and I must say Diddy was wylin' OUT on that shit lol. Anyway, all I gotta say now is: its about time time! Donnie's album is finally coming out Sept. 2nd, but you'll hear more about that at the beginning of the video.

Boring!
No need to put any of these tracks in individual posts because they are all pretty boring lol. All of them aren't necessarily wack, but they are certified snoozers.
Papoose - Dats Bitchassness
I almost can't believe Pap did this lol. I mean not only he is like 2 months late with this track, but its corny as fuck lol. It sounds like he was just trying to capitalize off the success of the phrase and the shirts and rushed some shit out...like 2-3 months late lol.
Bow Wow Feat. Lil Wayne - Money In The Way
I like Bow, but obviously people have hurt his pride to the point where he only makes songs about how much more money he has than everyone else lol. Oh and lol @ Bow Wow (of all people) crackin' on JD's height in the verse.
Young Chris Feat. Lil Wayne - Paradise
This shit was boring as hell! But hey did anyone else catch how Chris threw Wayne under the bus when he was naming famous people who snort in that last verse?? Shame lol.
Donnie J. - Rolling Stone
After all this wait I really hope this shit isn't what we're supposed to be suspecting from the album lol.

Day26 - Got Me Going Video
Finally Diddy has taken off the chains and released Day26's first video for Got Me Going:
You know all these late video releases got me to thinking about how bad Donnie is gonna flop whenever (if ever lol) his album comes out because at least DK and Day26 had the show to make of for the lack of Bad Boy promo. What is Donnie gonna have?? Yeah he'll have the TRL crowd, but what good is that gonna do when your video drops the week before your album and you have no radio play?? I guess we'll all have to wait and see, but it probably won't be looking good for Donnie unless Diddy switches up the format. Who knows, maybe that'll be his big announcement this Sunday on the finale lol.
