My Hottest MCs List, Fuck MTV! LOL.

I respect MTV for trying, but I just have a feeling they are REALLY
going to fuck their list up so before they do, I decided to make my
own...let the games begin!

10. Nas
Of course Nas is one of the greatest of all-time, that's not a
question...but this question is who's the hottest right now so
unfortunately my man is only finishing out the top 10. With the most
controversial album title (Hip-Hop Is Dead...The N) of the past year,
signing with Def Jam, and making a song with arch enemy Jay-Z, Nas is undoubtedly still hot.

9. Jim Jones
Noticed your favorite rapper wearing smaller shirts & wallet chains
::cough:: Lil Wayne ::cough::?? Well this man is the reason why. Jimmy
started this whole Rockstar movement stuff and made it cool to dress like some of your white classmates did back in 1995. Not to mention he had the hottest single of the past year ("We Fly High"), most OD'd on ad lib (BALLLLINN!), and some
of the best and most entertaining interviews Hip-Hop has heard since its
death sometime around 04-05...and yes people, it did die!

8. The Game
Pretty quiet resurfacing for The Game & his sophmore LP Doctor's
Advocate... no Dr. Dre on the album didn't help much either. Yet and still, his
album banged as promised and went platinum, but unfortunately for The
Game, Jay-Z's Kingdom Come followed only one week after. Game gained a
bit more buzz when his Kanye assisted, and highly controversial "Wouldn't
Get Far" dropped. Then came the Vida Guerra beef and the beginning and
end of her rap career! No doubt Game is one of the best MCs lyrically
but as far as being hot he only ranked 8 on my list.

7. Lil Wayne
Easily the most dickrode person in the industry, Lil Wayne has flipped
stealing his rap style, and appearance, and a love affair with his
"daddy" into a legitimate rap career. With no album in the past year,
Wayne has stayed hot by musically whoring himself and being disposable to
the nearest paying artist. Nevertheless, no matter what he says (however
much sense it DOESN'T make) or does (however much ummm.. opposite hetero
it may be) he maintains a legion of fans willing to defend his
questionable lyrics, and suspect ways by any means possible which makes
him hot artist #7.

6. Young Jeezy
Young Jeezy has never been the rapper to blow you away lyrically but
with his command over the streets, he managed to stay hot both coming
into, and throughout his sophomore set "Thug Motivation 102: The
Inspiration." Fresh off a less than stellar U.S.D.A. group album, Slick
Pulla & Blood Raw helped us quickly realize who the only star or talent is
over at Corporate Thugz Entertainment. With the hoods support and
production worthy of a legend, Jeezy holds down the #6 slot.

5. Ludacris
Still vying for that #1 spot, Ludacris dropped one of his dopest albums
damn-near effortlessly and picked up a Grammy on the way. Luda's talent
is undeniable and his ability to sell records any and every time he
drops, and make countless chart-topping songs single-handedly earned him
a spot in the top 5. Unfortunately Luda doesn't bring much excitement or
controversy as far as news and entertainment is concerned so #5 you
shall stay lol.

4. 50 Cent
What more can be said about this man? Only 2 solo albums in and already
richer than most of your favorite rappers put together B.V. (Before
Vitimanwater) puts Curtis on this list, no question! Technically he
didn't end a career this time around (Cam'ron helped end his own...so
did Jimmy lol) but it sure did bring us a little bit of excitement this
past Spring (not to mention a pantless Cam'ron ranting by a pool worthy
of your average middle class family). Admitting he didn't get the
response he's use to with his first 2 singles ("Amusement Park" and
"Straight To The Bank") 50 pushed his album back, regrouped, and hit us
with a summer banger in "I Get Money." The '03 (or even '05) allure
might of worn slightly but with an epic clash of the titans due Sept. 11
when he and Kanye's albums drop, Mr. Cent stays hot...and "stanky" rich
lol.

3. T.I.
It took him a few years but damn, T.I. sure did speak that King Of The
South stuff into existence, didn't he? I admit, this top 3 was a bit of
a toss up, but T.I. is more than deserving with all the anticipation
that surrounded his latest album "T.I. Vs. T.I.P." (like it or not). Tip
is pretty much everywhere right now from magazines, to TV, to gossip
blogs, to a town near you on the Screamfest tour with Ciara. All that
and soon to be platinum album after only 3 weeks in stores (take that
Lil Wayne dickriders lol).

2. Jay-Z
I really didn't expect Jay-Z to land this high, but pit again just about
everyone he is still light years ahead...yes even in 2007! Black
Superman (no not Master P...Google it lol) came back to an industry that
basically imploded after he retired in late '03-early '04 (with
exception to Be, R&G, Late Registration, and The Documentary). After
over 10 years of work in the game Jay remains one of the VERY few
artists that can have a concert anywhere on Earth and sell it out in a
day! He had the highest first week sales in Hip-Hop last year
(680,000+), remains the ultimate Hip-Hop trendsetter (whatever he does, says, or
drinks becames instant must haves/do's), and we can forget he STILL has
the hottest chick in the game. Every feature he does is an event and
obvious marketing tool for the artist. Simply put, he's hot with little
to no effort put forth...oh yeah and did I mention he's the only person
here richer than 50 Cent?? Oh, okay...its the Roc!

1. Kanye West
You really can tell him nothin, he's just simply the shit (with no lame
reference to toilet bowls...Lil Wayne lol). Everything Kanye touches is
gold (Common's Finding Forever, classic), everything he wears his
swagger jacked (see T.I. and Young Dro's new wardrobes lol), and
everything he says is taken to heart (do I even have to say it?? lol).
We all know his upcoming "Graduation" album will be classic, so there
really isn't much more for Kanye to do but keep making hits, right?
WRONG! While your favorite your is somewhere lying on wax, Kanye is
performing with U2 and Sting! Seriously, what rapper does that??? Kanye
is just on a different plain than any rapper in the history of Hip-Hop
and is undoubtedly the hottest (and freshest) MC in the game today.

Honorable Mention

1. Common
Back to back classic albums, movies and a hat line...Com is doing it!

2. Andre 3000
Its funny how one good verse can make even the worst of songs instantly
listenable (i.e. "Walk It Out" and "Throw Some D's")

3. Snoop Dogg
Snoop will always be hot lol.

4. Fabolous
Yeah Ne-Yo made him better, but the song is bangin people! lol.

5. Fat Joe
He didn't start it, but he sure did cash in the most on the most widely
OD'd on phrase of the past year with "Make It Rain."

If Only Now, Was 5 Years Ago!

1. Eminem
Damn Em was so dominate! Now I ain't sayin he fell off (can't forget he
didn't just end Benzino's career, he tore his whole life apart lol) but
I dunno what he was thinking with his last 2 collaborations with Akon
and T.I....I mean damn they were worst looks than Earl Boykins guarding
Shaq in the post! He's a lyrical mastermind (and rich lol) though so all
he needs is one classic album and he'll be back as one of Rap's elite.

2. DMX
Wow, talk about a trainwreck! I just feel so bad for him because he once
had the industry in such a chokehold Latrell Sprewell woulda been
jealous. It really makes no sense to me, but X has been crazy for awhile
now (sorry Tanya lol).

3. Nelly
He's still making money (which is good) and fucking Ashanti (which is
great) so he isn't doing too bad, but its a far cry from '02 where he
sold upwards of 9 million records of Nellyville to '06 where his
Sweatsuit barely went gold.

4. Ja Rule
Rule was hot for a strong 2-3 years B.C. (Before Curtis...well really it
should be B.E. because Eminem did the most damage lol) then 50 came
along & took his lane. He just resurfaced this year, but it won't have
anywhere near the impact it woulda in '02... Uh-Oh!

5. Mystikal
He was one of the hottest (and one of my personal favorites) back in the early 2000s, but needless to say what happened to his career shortly there after lol.
