New GTA V Trailers!

I can't lie, my interest in this game has waned over the past few months because of how far we still are from the September 17th release date...but man, these trailers are SICK! Are we sure they're not gonna say fuck it and drop this on the PS4? The graphics are absolutely insane and might be pushing the PS3 to its limits. Either way, I cannot wait! ...Fuck! Why September?! Oh well, enjoy the trailers, and here's the cover art if you hadn't seen yet.

Idiocracy 101: DeshawnRaw Deletes His Videos

So I'm chillin' trying to catch up on all the YouTube videos I've missed since I got this new job, make my way to DeshawnRaw's channel and see there's only 2 videos. Of course I'm like "What the fuck?!" and thinking YouTube is acting up, but then I come across this video with Deshawn actually deleting his videos. I don't know why he's doing this, but this is easily one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. You work hard, amass millions of views and hundreds of thousands of subscribers and then you delete it on some emotional shit? New niggas, boy I tell ya'.

As I told y'all some months back, he had been working with Chris Rock and Comedy Central on a new sketch comedy show, so maybe he feels like he's too big time for YouTube or whatever? I don't know, but I do know this, he is gonna regret this for the rest of his "career." It's not so much about YouTube or the views, it's about pissing off your fanbase. Makes no sense, but new niggas gotta learn the hard way, I guess.

I did a little research and came across this. Yep, somebody is gassing this nigga and got him thinking he's bigger than he is. Either that or he's on some hellified drugs. Either way, it's a wrap for him.
Damn, it's even worse than I thought. I'm actually starting to feel bad for him. Cocaine is a helluva drug.

Thursday Billboard Update - 3/7/13

Coming in at #1 for the first time in his career this week is Bruno Mars as his Unorthodox Jukebox slides a spots north with 95,000 copies sold. This is largely due to Amazon MP3 selling it for $1.99 last Tuesday and for $3.99 ever since (and that's still going on now, if you haven't checked the album out yet). Also benefiting from Amazon MP3's low pricing is Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' The Heist, which climbs 16-4 this week. I'm sure being on SNL didn't hurt either.

Baauer enjoys yet another bogus week atop the Hot 100 and everything else remains static for the most part as well.

The Billboard 200 1-10
first week debuts in bold

1. Bruno Mars - Unorthodox Jukebox (2-1)
2. Atoms For Peace - Amok (2)
3. Mumford & Sons - Babel (1-3)
4. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - The Heist (16-4)
5. Hillsong United - Zion (5)
6. Various Artists - Now 45 (4-6)
7. Lumineers - Lumineers (5-7)
8. Josh Groban - All That Echoes (3-8)
9. Rihanna - Unapologetic (9-9)
10. Adele - 21 (14-10)

The Billboard Hot 100 1-10
first time top 10's in bold

1. Baauer - Harlem Shakes (1-1)
2. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Thrift Shop (2-2)
3. Bruno Mars' When I Was Your Man (3-3)

Thursday Billboard Update - 2/21/13

The sales impact of the Grammys finally shows up and the Billboard 200's top 10 reflects that with several old albums returning (2013 Grammy Nomineees, Taylor Swift, fun., and Maroon 5), a couple rising (Lumineers and Bruno Mars), and one making its way back to #1 (Mumford & Sons).

Some bullshit is popping over on the Hot 100 as Billboard and Nielsen has retardedly (new word alert!) decided to revamp its system to incorporate YouTube streaming, which allowed Baauer's much parodied Harlem Shake to debut at #1. This is stupid on many levels, but none more than the fact that only a small fraction of those streams came from people listening to the song past the first 30 seconds. PSY must be pissed (though it should be noted that Gangnam Style is up 22 spots 48-26 because of this).

In other, more logical, Hot 100 news, Rihanna grabs her 24th top 10 song (and passes Whitney Houston and the Rolling Stones who both have 23) as Stay soars 54 spots 57-3 in its 2nd week. (I'm sure the 29.5 million YouTube views had a lot to do with it.) And lastly, Drake's Started From The Bottom skies 53 spots 63-10 also in its 2nd week.

The Billboard 200 1-10
first week debuts in bold

1. Mumford & Sons - Babel (4-1)
2. Various Artists - 2013 Grammy Nominees (11-2)
3. Bruno Mars - Unorthodox Jukebox (8-3)
4. Taylor Swift - Red (12-4)
5. Josh Groban - All That Echoes (1-5)
6. Lumineers - Lumineers (10-6)
7. fun. - Some Nights (14-7)
8. Various Artists - Now 45 (3-8)
9. Andrea Bocelli - Passione (5-9)
10. Maroon 5 - Overexposed (20-10)

The Billboard Hot 100 1-10
first time top 10's in bold

1. Baauer - Harlem Shakes (1)
2. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Thrift Shop (1-2)
3. Rihanna - Stay (57-3)
4. will.i.am - Scream & Shout (3-4)
5. Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble (5-5)

New Eminem Album Coming In 2013!

Here's the report from Billboard.com:

According to Shady president Paul Rosenberg, Eminem, who last Bad Meets Evil's "Hell: The Sequel" with Royce Da 5'9 in 2011, is "far into the process" of recording his untitled eighth studio album, due after Memorial Day. "We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He's been working on it for some time," Rosenberg tells Billboard, who was included on this year's Billboard Power 100 list. "It's safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we're not exactly sure when. We've got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we're trying to see what else lines up."

Yes, yes, and yes again!

Josh Freeman As Michael Jackson!

ESPN The Magazine has a new music issue in these streets and it has all kinda goodies in it like LaMarr Woodley, Marshawn Lynch and Trent Richardson as Run-D.M.C., James Stewart as Rick James, and Allyson Felix as Beyonce. (And that's not even mentioning the fact that LeBron James and Dr. Dre are on the freaking cover!) But if you ask me, there's nothing better in the issue than Tampa Bay QB Josh Freeman dressed up as Michael Jackson because he looks like a long lost Jackson already. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if his resemblance to the Jacksons is what brought the idea for the issue up in the first place.

Anyway, enjoy the behind-the-scenes look above, Josh's interview with the mag, and his official MJ photos.

Drake - Started From The Bottom

Tonight Drake released a new track via his blog (Glad to see I'm not the last person using Blogger) and here it is. He also attached a long ass message, but fuck all that reading shit, we niggas! On to the music!

The first time I heard it I couldn't figure out if it was going to be incredibly catchy or incredibly annoying, but after randomly singing "started from the bottom now we here" for the past hour, I think I have my answer. The Mike Zombie beat is hard as fuck, the lyrics are dope, the hook is catchy, and the flow is...well, the flow is Juvenile's, but I'll give him a pass because it's jammin' (yes, that's right, make good music and you get a pass).

Can't wait to hear how the folks who hate Drake for no real reason pick this one apart. I'm excited.

The Scallenge: Round 1

The White Mamba, bitch!

Best line of this video: "...But the question is does he have the speed, does he have the quickness to take on the Vanilla Godzilla."

Gayest line in this video: "His length really bothered me. It was hard, and his size down low; wasn't easy to maneuver him down there."

Speaking of gay, doesn't Matt Tomaszewski kinda resemble Dustin Zito from "The Real World: Las Vegas," aka Fratpad? I say yes.

Justin Timberlake - Suit & Tie (feat. Jay-Z)

Finally, finally, finally the much ballyhooed new Justin Timberlake track with Jay-Z is out! Check it out:

Justin Timberlake - Suit & Tie (feat. Jay-Z) (Alt. Link)

Pretty cool song. I was worried at the beginning, I thought that intro was how the entire song was going to sound. Whew! I mean, it was dope for an intro (well, besides Timbaland's weird beluga whale yelp at the start), but it wouldn't have been for an entire song.

Anyway, I don't know if J.T. was purposely going for the Robin Thicke sound, but if he was, he nailed it. He sounded great, just a lot like Thicke both lyrically and vocally. Who knows, maybe that's who wrote the song for him?

Sadly, as much as I love Jay-Z, he added absolutely nothing to the song besides his name. Now that's not to say the verse was trash and someone else should've been on here, but to say it was kinda unnecessary. This song didn't need a rap verse. It didn't hurt, it just didn't help either.

And of course Timbaland killed the beat, that goes without saying... though I just said it. I have a lot of regrets.

The awkward is strong in this one. Also, that Farooq character is a such a bitch!

I think I like Farooq even less than I liked Nina. I know it's just a show, but I think I hate that nigga in real life now lol.
