Dwight Howard Has A Herniated Disk

Uh-oh, Dwight Howard has a herniated disk in his lower back and there's no timetable for his return! It's being reported that Dwight will rest the back and get treatment for the next 2 weeks (which means he'll miss the remainder of the regular season), but in all likelihood, he's going to need a lot more time than that to recover. The Magic are in more trouble than if their star player got caught trying to get their head coach fired. Wait, that actually happened? Oh. Awkward.

The Magic are 1-4 without Dwight this season (which includes losses to the Pistons and Wizards) and have 7 games remaining, so as a Heat fan I have to ask myself if I should be rooting for the Magic to fall to the 7th seed in the playoffs? Right now, the Knicks are 3 games behind them and I would rather play the Magic with an iffy Dwight rather than 'Melo.

I don't know, but just know that if you see the Heat giving minimal effort again tomorrow versus the Knicks, it's likely they were asking themselves the same thing when they heard about this untimely injury.
