Broncos Waive Kyle Orton

So the Broncos refused to trade Kyle Orton to the Dolphins in training camp so they could cut him in late November? Well that makes sense.

This is good news for Orton though (and who knows, he could have asked management for his release)  because it allows him to latch onto a team whose starter went down like Chicago, Houston, and Kansas City. I say it all depends on what happens Sunday, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if Chicago brought Orton back to fill in for the guy he was traded for (Cutler).

In other NFL niggas getting cut news, Tashard Choice was released by the Redskins today, just 2 days after his debut. This could mean one of 3 things: Tashard Choice sucks, Mike Shanahan is crazy, or the Skins only brought Choice in to give tips about the Cowboys' offense. I'm leaning towards things 2, but I'm not ready to rule out the Skins only signing him to help game plan against the Cowboys. When they signed him they didn't need a running back, (though Tim Hightower went on IR) but they brought Choice in anyway and after the game against Dallas he was gone. That sounds crazy enough to be true....but probably not crazy enough to be Mike Shanahan.

(Side note: I wonder if the Dolphins would have TC on a plane to Miami if their game against the Dallas was Sunday instead of Thursday?)

The Bears did put a claim in for Kyle Orton, but he was awarded to the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday. With Steelers, @Bears, @Jets, Packers, Raiders, and @Broncos left on the schedule, I'm not exactly sure what the Chiefs stand to gain by bringing in Kyle Orton and keeping him out of the NFC. Oh well, tough break, Kyle.
