These niggas did a Best Of 2007 on Monday, and I must say these niggas are wylin'! They actually have Lil Wayne's Da Drought 3 as the top mixtape of the year! Oh really?? lol. Now, I can't argue that Lil Wayne is one of the top mixtape artists out (due to his dickriders more so than skill), but that mixtape was ass! I mean it wasn't as bad as That Carter 3 Sessions, but come the fuck on Mixtape Monday, Da Drought 3 was weak as fuck! It shouldn't even be anywhere on the top mixtapes list, let alone at the top.
On the bright side, they also had G-Unit Radio 25, Saigon's The Moral Of The Story, and Kanye's Can't Tell Me Nothin' all in there under that weed plate known as Da Drought 3 and will all be in my top 10 mixtape of the year when I do my list. This Week In Flops 12/18/07
Welp, its Dec. 18th and its time for some predictions! I'm glad to NOT have to include Mary J. to this list, but its sad that Lupe Fiasco does have to make it. Anyway, I dunno what Lupe and Chingy have going on, but once again their albums are coming out on the same day (remember last year Lupe outdid Chingy in first week sales after Best Buy finally turned in their numbers for their Sept 19th releases a few days late?? lol). Anyway, let's go in!!!:
First up is Lupe Fiasco with his new age classic The Cool. Even though this album is incredible, I seriously doubt it will sell much since I hardly even hear the single anywhere and have never seen the video unlike last year's Kick Push. Fortunately for him, Chingy is in an even worse predicament so he'll still probably outsell him lol. I got Lupe doing about 60-80k.
I really didn't even know Chingy was coming out with an album, but I guess that just goes to show how irrelevant he is now. His career will forever be marred by him leaving DTP after going double-platinum only to come crawling back to flops later. Anyway, I really don't see the Chingster selling much more than 40-50k.
Last is Jaheim's The Makings Of A Man which also drops today. I don't have much to say about this album because I hardly know anything about it and just found out it was dropping today. With that kinda buzz, you can't expect Ja to sell anything over 30k unfortunately.

I didn't even know Chamillionaire had a Youtube channel, but I found out he actually does when I clicked on this video on Lil Wayne talking about Pimp C. Once I realized I didn't care what Wayne had to say anyway (lol) I decided to explore the channel. When I did the first video I saw said "Chamillonaire New single!! EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PREVIEW!!!!!!" so I figured I'd hear what he had next to follow up that pretty corny first single. I didn't even get to the song before I got pissed off because dude in the studio said something about Mixtape Messiah 4 coming out. WHY??? I've never heard Mixtape Messiah 1, but I sure as hell heard 2 and 3 and they both were so pathetically bad its not even funny (you can see where it ranks on my Year-End Top 10's on New Years Day). So this is a message you Cham, if you're thinking about putting out this tape, don't! Its probably best for all parties involved if you stop humiliating yourself with all the off beat flows and corny punchlines.
I hope he listens to my outcry to stop production and/or release of Mixtape Messiah 4, but only time will tell. Now, if you wanna check out his next single or see what the hell I'm talking about then just watch the video below:
