Thursday Billboard Update - 5/13/10

Godsmack - The Oracle
A lot is going on in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 today, but unfortunately only one of the albums pertains to us. That album is Toni Braxton's Pulse which moved 54,500 in its first week.

Its okay that not much concerning us is popping over on the 200 because the big news is happening on the Hot 100. That big news is Eminem's Not Afraid becoming just the 16th record (only 2nd Hip-Hop record) in Billboard history to debut at #1. I can't say that I saw this happening, but it definitely doesn't surprise me the way the internet exploded just when news broke the song would be coming out.

(Side note: Believe it or not, but this is just Eminem's 3rd #1 record in his career. The other 2?? Lose Yourself and Crack A Bottle. Freaky, right??)

9. Toni Braxton - Pulse (9)
10. Usher - Raymond vs. Raymond (6-10)
  • Trina's latest offering Amazin' debuts at #13 with 32,500 sold. Not bad for a female rapper with absolutely no buzz.
  • Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Uni-5: The World's Enemy come in one spot later at #14 with 29,600 sold.
  • 8Ball & MJG swoop in at #36 with 16,200 copies of Ten Toes Down sold. After finally hearing their DJ Bring It Back record, I actually think they should've sold less. That shit was awful.
