Thursday Billboard Update - 2/19/09

Wow, there were actually new releases this week! I'm shocked! It really caught me off guard lol.

Anyway, India.Arie's new album Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics arrives at #3 with 75,600 sold in her first week. British singer Lily Allen's album It's Not Me, It's You comes in at #5 with 70,000 sold. Bobby Valentino's The Rebirth starts at #7 after selling 64,200. Four other albums re-entered the top 10 this week thanks to big nights at the Grammy's. Album of the Year winners Robert Plant & Alison Krauss experience a 715% sales increase as Raising Sand jumps 69-2. Coldplay's Viva La Vida jumps 31-8, the Grammy's Nominees album jumps 12-9, and Adele's 19 jumps 27-10.

And as far as the Hot 100 goes, like I told you yesterday, Flo Rida's Right Round soars 57 spots to #1 this week. At #2 this week is T.I.'s Justin Timberlake featured single Dead And Gone which jumps a huge 9-2! Also, finally making it into the top 10 is Lady GaGa's Poker Face (12-10).

How shocked must India Arie be that she made it in the top 5 with no buzz lol. I bet when she saw those numbers she did, she spit green tea all over her computer screen.

Yeah I know right, and guess what?? If it would've come out in January & did that same 76,000, it would've been #1 lol.
