Thursday Billboard Update - 4/7/11

Britney Spears - Femme Fatale
Grabbing her 6th #1 album is Britney Spears as her Femme Fatale bangs out 277,100 first week. This puts her in a 3rd place tie for most #1s all-time by a female artist with Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson. (Sounds odd for Britney's name to be in the same sentence as Mariah and Janet, right?) Coming in at #2 is Wiz Khalifa's weed plate, coincidentally named Rolling Papers, with 198,200 copies sold. Snoop Dogg's Doggumentary debuts at #8 with 50,500 sold while Mary Mary's Something Big checks in at #10 with 42,000 sold.

Katy Perry's E.T. featuring Kanye West remains at #1 for a 2nd week, while Rihanna's S&M slides up a spot to #2, and Black Eyed Peas' Just Can't Get Enough hops 2 to #3. Just one new entry in the top 10 this week and its Adele's Rolling In The Deep flying 17-10.
