Random News Shit: Entertainment Edition

1) 'Takers' Claims #1 Spot at the Box Office
When the numbers were first released, "Takers" was #2 to "The Last Exorcism" by about $300,000, but when the true numbers came out "Takers" was actually on top by about $150,000. Either way, in my mind, "Takers" was #1 regardless because it and "The Last Exorcism" made basically the same amount of money despite being shown in 668 less theaters nationwide. Per theater, "Takers" killed them.

And with that being said, I have no interest in seeing this movie. No real reason, just not interested.

2) Another Drake Album In 2010?
Slow down guys. It was a miracle that Drake's first album dropped at all, so let's not get our hopes up that the least album dropping label on Earth is gonna clean up its act and give us 2 in 1 year. It ain't happening. Cash Money, how about y'all focus on getting Nicki Minaj's album out this year and leave everything else alone?? Baby steps fellas.

3) Jay-Z & Yankees Team For Exclusive Apparel
And just when you thought Jay-Z had run out of ideas to make more money, BOOM! This apparel will ONLY be sold at Yankees Stadium and only through Sept. 14th. It's a damn shame I don't have family in New York anymore. Hmmm, my ex-girlfriend did tell me she's going to New York next week, though. I wonder if she'd grant me one last wish?? Fingers crossed.

Take a look at some of the goods courtesy of RapRadar. Some of that stuff would go great with the Hov "All Black Everything" Forces I don't own.

4) Full 'Dancing With The Stars' Cast Announced
Last week I told you The Situation was gonna be on the show (though I still wish it was gonna be Snooki), but here's a quick rundown of the rest of the cast:

Brandy Norwood, David Hasselhoff, Jennifer Grey, Kurt Warner, Margaret Cho, Kyle Massey, Audrina Patridge, Rick Fox, Florence Henderson, Bristol Palin and Michael Bolton.

Man, where's the Erin Andrews and Nicole Schegudgthzyrs?? What is DWTS without the hot ass??

5) Trick Daddy Working On 'www.thug.com 2'
The original 1998 classic still goes hard so thing is welcomed news. Hopefully this will help him get his mojo back, though his last album Finally Famous was pretty good. Unfortunately, there's no release date yet.

6) Ruff Ryders Records Is Now Ruff Ryders Indy
Look guys, it's over. The Ruff Ryder brand is gone, and it's never coming back. Never. Ever.

If they wanted to launch a new label, why didn't they just do it with a whole new name?? It's time to move on.
