Thursday Billboard Update - 8/26/10

Recovery
Eminem's Recovery sells 116,400 more copies to remain at #1, but the big surprise this week is Kem's new album Intimacy debuting at #2 with 74,300 albums sold. No mainstream buzz, no hit single on the radio, no ringtones, stop by 106 & Park, just good music. That's just lovely. The cream always rises to the top.

Finally, some action on the Hot 100! Eminem's Love The Way You Lie with Rihanna is still #1, but we also have 3 new tracks in the top 10. The first of those tracks is Lil Wayne's Right Above It featuring Drake, which debuts at #6. The next is Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are at #9, up from #16, and the last is B.o.B's Magic at #10, up 1 spots from #11.

The Billboard 200 1-10

8. Justin Bieber - My World 2.0 (5-8)
9. David Gray - Fondling (9)

  • Dondria's debut album Dondria Vs. Phatfffat opens at #50 this week with just 8,300. No need wondering if there will be a 2nd album... there won't. I blame JD because he signed her in 2008 when she was kinda hot and is put her album out in 2010 after 100 other internet sensations have popped off. That's like American Idol waiting 2 years to drop the winner's album. The moment is over and there's 2 other Idol champs around. It's a lose, lose situation.
