Thursday Billboard Update - 8/14/08

Blah blah blah, nothing interesting in the top 10 besides Lloyd's Lessons In Love debuting at #7 with 51,000 sold. I had that one right on, but my man E-Rich was just a bit off lol.

"And down goes Frasier!" I'm shocked! Rihanna's Disturbia stepped in on my girl Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl and delivered the knockout blow to claim the #1 spot. RiRi shouldn't get too comfy in the throne though because as I told you last week M.I.A.'s Paper Planes' just might make a top 10 push and it did and landed at #5 (16-5). With the pace this track is moving at it just might take over the #1 spot within the next 2 weeks. We shall see...

  • Re-Up Gang's self-titled debut album comes in at #55 and moves just 9,860 units in its first week, just a few hundred away from my prediction last week.
  • The Nappy Roots' come back attempt falls short as their new album Humdinger comes in at #73 with only 7,720 copies sold.
  • As American Boy continues to perform on the Hot 100, Estelle's album Shine is finally makes moves on the Billboard 200 moving 39 spots 120-81.
