Ain't even know Charlamagne had his own show now, but man, shit got real disrespectful in this interview... and I loved it!
You know what?? Some times Charlmagne does come off as a hater, but for the most part he's really just speaking the truth. I'd say about 90% of the shit he said/brought up with true shit. Cassie shaved her head and put those pics out for attention, she can't sing, she is living in a "Beyonce/Rihanna world," and it makes no sense to sign with Bad Boy because Diddy will fuck you and you're gonna lose in the end (me and Andy have been saying this shit for years!). All of those were very valid points.
The only thing I wasn't with him on is him saying Red Cafe and Maino are next up. Nothing against them, but if you want the "old rappers" like Jay-Z and Nas to stop making music to make way for Red Cafe and Maino then fuck you. They're both decent rappers at best. You can't replace legends and lyrical icons with decent shit. Now if he would've said Drake or Asher Roth then MAYBE he would've gotten my support, but right now its the "old rappers" like Jay, Nas, Eminem, Raekwon, Redman, and Method Man who are making the best music. Once these young niggas show that they can hold the game down, they won't have to worry about people making room for them. Besides, fuck making room for niggas, make room for yourself!
And if New York is counting on records like Hottest In The Hood and All Of The Above to bring them back, then its already a wrap for their next generation because neither of those tracks are that good. Again, no disrespect, just being honest. New York's best shot at coming back died when Papoose, Saigon, Joell Ortiz, and Tru Life didn't make it. They shit on both Red and Maino lyrically and actually had classic album POTENTIAL at one point or another.
