Thursday Billboard Update - 4/2/09

(Yes, I actually did write the majority of this last week so no I didn't change my opinion on the Black Eyed Peas' Boom Boom Pow after hearing it would be #1 on tomorrow's Hot 100.)

I can't believe people are still buying these Now That's What I Call Music CDs! You can literally make that album yourself if you really wanted to and it still sold 146,000. Whatever lol. Anyway, my future wife piece Keri Hilson's debut album In A Perfect World pushed out 94,497 copies and came in at #4. Quite impressive, no joke. Coming in at #8 was Jim Jones with his 4th album Pray IV Reign which sold just 43,000 in its first week. At the end of the day he is on an independent so those numbers are gonna, but you'd expect more from Jimmy at this point in his career.

I told y'all about Ciara's Love Sex Magic when the video first came out didn't I?? I knew this song would be in a top 10 soon after the video came out and now it is after jumping 17 spots 27-10.

• I was trying to be nice when I said Case's Rose Experience would sell 10,000-20,000 records last week, but I knew that probably would never happen. Well it didn't. It sold 5,000 copies.

And in this corner we have Asher Roth and I Love College at #12, up from #14 last week. Lets fight!
• This week's top debut its Flo Rida's Sugar at #25. This track is just as terrible as his first single (if not worse) so this is like whatever to Hip-Hop fans.
• I believe I called this when the video came out, but in its 2nd week on the charts Ciara's Love Sex Magic with Justin Timberlake soars 57 spots 86-27.
• The Black Eyed Peas alleged last first single, Boom Boom Pow, jumps 15 spots 54-39 this week. Beware of this record.
