1) Ravens (9-5) @ Cowboys (9-5)
The last regular season game at Texas Stadium! Wow, sad to see it go. Anyway, this game is freakin' huge for both clubs with the teams scrapping for a wild card spot. The Ravens are coming off a heartbreaker, almost as bad as the Cowboys' a week earlier, so Ray Lewis will have his team angry and ready to go Saturday night. That scares the shit out of me as a Cowboy fan, especially with Tony Romo already banged up from last week's game. I think this game will be decided by how good or bad Romo feels out there. Unfortunately, we probably won't know until the game starts and I have to pick a winner now. After tough deliberation, I'm going with the Cowboys because the Ravens' offense just didn't show me enough last Sunday to think they'll put up enough points to win. Yeah, it was against the Steelers, but the Cowboys' D is definitely nothing to squeeze at. Cowboys winners, Ravens losers.
(PS: You know I'm pissed that its on NFL Network, right?? Okay, just making sure you knew lol.)
2) Panthers (11-3) @ Giants (11-3)
This one is for all the marbles. The winner of this game will undoubtedly have homefield advantage throughout the playoffs on top of their all but secured bye week. Its hard to see the Giants losing 3 in a row, but after careful deliberation, I think its a possibility. Its not that I love the Panthers, but my theory is that the Giants are now losing on purpose because they don't want homefield advantage since they're better on the road. Yeah, might be a bit farfetched, but its worth thinking about lol. Now, if that is the Giants' plan, they better be careful because then they'd put themselves in danger of falling into the #3 seed if the Vikings are able to beat the Falcons since the G-Men play the Vikes Week 17 in the Metrodome. Panthers winners, Giants losers.
3) Steelers (11-3) @ Titans (12-2)
Uh-oh, all of a sudden the Titans are Albert Hanyesworth-less. That's definitely not a good sign, especially considering their offense will have to contend with that dreaded Steeler defense and probably will need to rely heavily on their own D to keep them in the game. I think things are just going bad for the Titans right now and that coupled with Pittsburgh always finding a way to win in the 4th quarter is a recipe for disaster. Steelers winners, Titans losers.
4) Falcons (9-5) @ Vikings (9-5)
The Falcons caught a break last week when they went up against a broken Bucs team, and even then they almost gave the game away. They need to know that the Adrian Peterson and the Vikings will give them a much harder test no matter who their QB is. Peterson is a beast and he'll give ATL fits All Day so I'm thinking the Cowboys get a much needed break in the form of a Falcons loss. Viking winners, Falcons losers.
(Just read a stat that definitely isn't encouraging to all my Falcon fans out there. Matt Ryan and the boys are 0-3 on the road against winning teams. Guess where they are Sunday?? Uh-oh!)
5) Cardinals (8-6) @ Patriots (9-5)
The Cardinals in Foxboro in 20° weather and possibly snow?? You are kidding yourself if you think they have a chance lol. Pats winners, Cards losers.
6) Eagles (8-5-1) @ Redskins (7-7)
Believe it or not, this game doesn't matter. The Redskins can't make the playoffs and the Eagles need to much other stuff to happen for them to make the playoffs. If the Eagles win then they're still in the technically in the hunt, but even if they lose and are eliminated, they'll still give the Cowboys a helluva game in Week 17 just because its T.O. and the Cowboys (I'm not looking forward to that game as you might imagine lol). I say Philly takes it over dead-in-the-water Washington. Eagles winners, Redskins losers.
7) Chargers (6-8) @ Buccaneers (9-5)
How bad do you really wanna make the playoffs Chargers?? Here's a golden opportunity against a reeling team in Tampa Bay, are you up for the challenge?? Judging by how they needed a 18-point comeback to beat the Chiefs by one (again), I say no. Not to mention the Bucs are 6-0 at home this year while the Chargers just just 2-5 on the road. Bucs winners, Chargers.
8) Bills (6-8) @ Broncos (8-6)
I still can't believe the Bills were once 5-1. You may never know what you're gonna get with the Broncos, but you always know you'll get terrible out of the Bills. Broncos winners, Bills losers.
9) Colts (10-4) @ Jaguars (5-9)
You know how division rivalries are usually close games that can go either way?? Yeah, that won't be the case Thursday night. Colts winners, Jags losers.
10) Packers (5-9) @ Bears (8-6)
Weren't the Packers good at some point?? They've become a sad mess in the 2nd half of the season BUT I say they get off the snide Monday night and beat the last team they got a win against once again. Packers winners, Bears losers.
11) Dolphins (9-5) @ Chiefs (2-12)
Though the Dolphins are 9-5 this year, they always seem to find a way to make an interesting game out of these breeze-through games. From only beating the Seahawks (3-11) and Raiders (3-11) by 2 to only beating the Rams (2-12) by 4, they just always make things interesting. The good side of that is they're winning and we all know winning cures all so look for the Dolphins to take care of business in KC. Dolphins winners, Chiefs losers.
12) Jets (9-5) @ Seahawks (3-11)
Will the Jets need another miracle to beat a lesser opponent?? I'm not so sure they don't, but for the sake of a great Week 17, I'm gonna say the Jets also win and meet the Dolphins for a showdown in the Meadowlands to decide the AFC East title. With that being said, I totally wouldn't be surprised if the Jets lost and eliminated themselves. I mean they are 0-3 on the west coast this season. Jets winners, Seahawks losers.
13) Saints (7-7) @ Lions (0-14)
Is this the week the Lions finally get their first win?? No NFL team has ever gone 0-15 (let alone 0-16) and the Saints officially have nothing to play for. Unfortunately for the Lions, they play in a dome and you know the Saints + a dome = Drew Brees throwing for 400+ yards lol. The Lions will get a break now that Reggie Bush is out for the season so we'll see what happens. Saints winners, Lions losers.
14) Texans (7-7) @ Raiders (3-11)
The way the Texans are playing, do you seriously give the Raiders even the slightest chance?? I don't. Texans winners, Raiders losers.
15) 49ers (5-9) @ Rams (2-12)
At this point, with the "new improved Jim Haslett Rams" era in the distant past, can they come together and take out a kinda/sorta hot division rival?? Probably not because after all they are still the Rams. On the other side, if Mike Singletary can get the Niners to 7-9 after starting 2-7, you can safely say the head coaching job is his in 2009. Niners winners, Rams losers.
16) Bengals (2-11-1) @ Browns (3-11)
Great, more division rivals! lol. The Bengals at least looked fairly decent in Week 16 so I'll go with them. Bengals winners, Browns losers.
