Live-Action 'Where's Waldo?' Movie Coming Soon??

Universal has acquired the rights to "Where's Waldo?" and is looking to make it into a live-action movie. This leads me to ask the following question: Are we this strapped of people with new ideas that we have to keep finding new shit to re-make?? I mean seriously, "Where's Waldo?" The best this execs could come up with is a early 90s book character that has no story line or history of anything besides traveling?? We know nothing else about Waldo besides his affinity for travel. We don't know how he sounds, what else he likes to do, if he has family, is he cool, if he has magic powers, none of that. But yet there going to make a movie out of him?? Sad.
