Thursday Billboard Update - 1/3/08

FINALLY Josh Groban's attempt to hold the Billboard 200 hostage for another week was broken up by Mary J.'s new album Growing Pains in its second week. Then again, I did tell you guys thise would happen last week so you shouldn't be too surprised lol. Now, Mary still took the minus on her way to #1, but it wasn't too bad as she managed to move 204,258 in its 2nd week.

Nothing much has changed on the singles side, oh, well besides Soulja Boy doing the unthinkable and jumping right back into the top 10! Now, that's not unthinkable for real artists, but for a one-hit wonder that's huge. I even venture to say that this is the first time that's happened. Whatever, maybe those Batman niggas will help him stay around for another month or so. Other than that, Mr. creativity himself, Flo Rida (lol), sets a single week record for digital sales as T-Pain's his Low sales 470,000. Hmm, I wonder if this one actually has an album coming out lol.
