'Love King' Will Be The-Dream's Last Album

Stop it! Niggas really need to stop with this bullshit! Stop saying your upcoming album is your last album because 1) you're probably not that important 2) you're probably gonna end up making another one anyway. Artists with 2 or 3 albums out need not tell me they're quitting the game because most likely they haven't even accomplished enough shit for me to care. How are you gonna retire before you have longevity?? So you're gonna stop before you've even done shit?? This is like LeBron saying he was done in the offseason before his 3rd season. Niggas are hustling backwards! Did Michael Jackson announce he was making his last album?? Did Whitney?? Did Janet?? No, no, and no! Great artists don't do this because they don't have to.

Here's a new rule: If you've been in the game for less than 5 years, have less than 5 albums, and haven't gone platinum on every album, you are NOT allowed to announce your retirement. You now have to establish some sort of longevity, or even a real career, before you can publicly announce you're calling it quits.

And this doesn't just go for The-Dream, it goes for Game, Lupe, Jay-Z (though not as much since he has longevity), Lyfe, pretty much everyone who's "announced their retirement" from music.
