Jay-Z In Line For 10th #1 Album

Its not guaranteed as of yet, but Billboard.com is reporting, from Wednesday's first day sales, that it looks like Jay-Z's 10th album American Gangster will be #1 on next week's Billboard 200. So far he's sold about 179,000, about 72,000 more than his closest competition, Chris Brown's Exclusive (107,000). Who knows how this will end up, but I think Hov will do about 400,000 and debut at #1 to tie Elvis' punk ass. "Roc Boys in the buildin' tonight!"

Umm fuck buyin CD's cuz, we are no longer at the mercy of these nigga's hustle. Yo niggas used to LINE UP at MIDNIGHT to buy CD's when I was in college. Niggas paid 20 bux for them double CD's (Oh Did I tell ya I was one of these niggas?) I've made these niggas rich enough . Im good already. If my man was still here I would definitely go out and buy his CD's (RIP B.I.G.). Just like when Jay said THE BLACK ALBUM was gonna be his last. I said went out and bought it, believing it wud b my last 2 !!! And this nigga has 2 since then...WUT THE FUCK? Im good on the CD buyin. Nowaday days I'm like the Yellow Pages...I let my fingers do the walkin'///ha..ha

O yea my point>>>>>>>>>well my point is I dont think Billboards 200 list shud really be the end all litmus in ur mind. Im only a Jay fan, and a Jay fan only. But I dont buy CD's. I download'em. and there are millions mor like me. So u cant TOTALLY DISCOUNT THE BILLBOARD HOT 100 (Soulja Boy) but then totally rely on Billboard 200. I understand that one is sales and one is a combination of a lot of factors BUT You get my point.

I hear where you comin from but you actually bought CDs in your lifetime some of these kids now have not. & i dont totally discount the Hot 100 (thats why I post it) but i knew Soulja Boy wouldnt sale becuz his "career" is based on a gimmick and Jay doesnt have to be anywhere on the Hot 100 becuz he's Jay. I just go with the trends and stuff i see instead of where your single is on the Hot 100.

ok iget'cha,,, but i hav a serious question for you....... u ready?

OK OK OK we all know that before lil Wayne met GDK his style was sophmoric at best. Therefore its obvious that GDK's style is not only legit and marketable but also one to be envied (and bitten) . But to me, just like lil Boosie, Fox, Mims,Gorilla Zoe amongst a plethora of others ( Freedie Foxxx, OC, Puba, Joe Buddens (says you)etc etc etc, these people will never sell any records.
My question is why is lil Wayne a talentless shrew of a star, so loved and GDK who is not much in my estimation but is obviously waaaaaaay nicer than lil Wayne (even in lil Wayne's eyes, why is GDK doomed to the hip hop scrap heap? No matter what he duz i dont think he has achance unless he learns how to act or hit the lottery

Answer my question... why do some people has it given to them... and some no matter how hard they try, they will never get it? e.g. Memphis Bleek, Anyone who rhymes with Dr Dre, Royce the 59, even people like Jadakis. Some just dont hav a chance from the Gate... Why , why is this the case in Hip Hop today... Mr. God_ MC

well on the matter of GDK even though he's nice i really believe the way he came out AND signing to Cash Money pretty much ruined any chance he might have had of really blowing up. that Major Figgas shit was TRASH and that marked his career once they didnt sell any records and that shit is HARD to come back from (u know sorta like if Soulja Boy or Hurricane Chris fell back for like 5 years & then tried to make a comeback).

the 2nd thing with GDK is that he signed with Cash Money. signing with Cash Money is a dead end street if you came after the 6 niggas that blew up (Juv, B.G., Turk, Wayne, Baby, & Fresh). example: who has has to Cash Money after that 1st run of success & had a real career???

Plus he made the fatal mistake of writing for Lil Wayne after he was starting to gain himself a underground buzz in like 02-03 with those Sqad Up tapes (i dunno how the impact was up there in Jersey but that shit was massive in the South). & now that Wayne's buzz turned into a bunch of people dickriding him it was WAY too late for Gillie to comeback out becuz alotta niggas dont remember the Major Figgas and automatically think Gillie is bitin Wayne's style when its clearly the other way around lol.

as far as others it prolly just wasnt meant to be. in Bleek's case he was supposed to be the next Jay-Z & you can be the next Jay-Z when Jay-Z is still runnin shit lol.
