Memphis & Minnesota Swap Love For Mayo

That title might sounds a little funky, but fuck it its 3 in the morning. Anyway, in an eight player deal the Memphis Grizzlies acquired the draft rights to O.J. Mayo in exchange for the draft rights to Kevin Love. Also heading to Memphis are Marco Jaric (who knows why Minnesota traded Sam Cassell for him in the first place), Antoine Walker (who knows why the Heat traded him for Ricky Davis), and Greg Buckner while Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal, and Jason Collins all head to Minnesota.

I know some of you are thinking 'why didn't Minnesota just draft Kevin Love in the first place' and the answer to that is if they did they wouldn't have been able to get rid of Marco Jaric's terrible 3-year $21 million contract (again, who knows why they traded Cassell for him...especially at that price lol) while bringing on a shooter in Mike Miller and the guy they really wanted all along. Smart move by the T-Wolves, but then again we know what happened last time they pulled off a draft day trade, anyone recall Brandon Roy to Portland for the draft rights to Randy Foye?? Yeah, Minnesota, how did that work out for ya?? lol.
