Damn, you'd think that the music industry was finally back if you just looked at the #1 debuts the past few weeks. Last week Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III made a huge splash (allegedly) selling over a million copies and this week Coldplay takes over with 721,000 sold of their new album Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends. I'm sure we'll be back down to earth next week lol.
Anyway, with a 69% decrease CIII drops to #2 moving 309,000 units. Still not bad, but I told you the reign would be short lol. Down at #5 in the top 10 is Plies' Definition Of Real which managed 68,000 in its 2nd week. As expected, Rihanna's 3rd album Good Girl Gone Bad skyrockets 124-7 due to the re-release of the album selling 63,000! That's a 930% sales increase if you're counting at home lol.
As Coldplay dethrones Wayne on the Billboard 200, Katy Perry dethrones their Viva La Vida (1-6) atop the Hot 100 with I Kissed A Girl (2-1). New in the top 10 are Plies' Bust It Baby Pt. 2 (11-8), The Pussycat Dolls' When I Grow Up (18-9), and Miley Cyrus' 7 Things (70-10).

- Way down the charts at #134 Danity Kane's 2nd album Welcome To The Dollhouse finally goes gold! Congrats girls, that's tough shit to do these days.
- Even further down at #200 is Jahiem's Makings Of A Man which also officially crosses the 500,000 mark, congrats.
