The Madden Curse Is Alive & Well

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, bottom right, has his left knee injured as Tennessee Titans Alge Crumpler (83) falls on it during the NFL football game, Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. Polamalu was trying to recover the ball on a blocked field goal attempt in the first half of the Steelers 13-10 overtime win. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said after the game that Polamalu has a sprained MCL and could be out 3 to 6 weeks.
Wow, last year it took up until Week 13 for the Madden curse to kick in when Brett Favre's arm damn near fell off while throwing 9 picks in the last 5 to take the Jets from 8-3 to 9-7. This year it didn't waste any time taking out Troy Polamalu with an MCL sprain in the 1st half of the 1st game of 2009! Yes, its alive and well! Larry Fitzgerald better watch his back this Sunday against the 49ers because the curse is coming.
