Thursday Billboard Update - 9/10/09

A lot of action this week on the Billboard 200 as 6 of the top 10 albums are first week debuts. Resuming her rightful place at the top is Whitney Houston and her comeback album I Look To You pushing 311,000 out the store. Trey Songz's new album Ready comes in at #3 with 131,000. Yuuup! Checking in at #8 was Pitbull's Rebelution with 41,000 sold.

Jay Sean's Down hangs in at #2, Jay-Z's Run This Town is back up to #4, and Mariah Carey's Obsessed finally cracks the top 10 and reaches #7.

  • Debuting at #51 this week is Trey Songz hilarious collaboration with Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy LOL :-). Me and my brother love listening this song and getting a good hardy laugh at the last 2 verses. Good times, man, good times.
  • To go along her #1 album by the same name, Whitney Houston's I Look To You jumps 28 spots 98-70 this week.
  • After debuting last week, Three 6 Mafia's Shake My jumps 10 spots 85-75 in its 2nd week.
  • Coming in at #96 is Gucci Mane's track with Plies which goes by the title of Wasted. Interesting title because that's exactly what the studio time they used was lol. This song is truly terrible, but I know you would expect no less from this duo.
  • Sean Kingston's Face Drop debuts at #100.
