Okay, by now we all know Omarion has been either dropped or requested his release from Young Money Records after about 2 months on the job, depending on who's story you read. They say he leaked a record with himself and Wayne, but seriously that kinda hurts the people's argument who say he got dropped. Why would they drop someone over a leaked record?? Lil Wayne has AT LEAST 20-30 (and probably more) mixtapes out with all leaked material so even if O leaked the song, I doubt he'd drop him over it (but then again this is Lil Wayne's label we're talking about here so who knows).
Anyway, at the end of the day Omarion is no longer on Young Money and you know who that benefits the most?? That's right, Omarion! We all know Cash Money/Young Money don't release albums, its documented, so there's no question that O's project was already on the shelf indefinitely (if it was even there, that shit may have still been on the conveyor belt lol). If all he had to do was allegedly leak a mediocre to terrible song with Lil Wayne to get released then why doesn't everyone on the label with a shelved project (which is coincidentally everyone on the label) do the same??
By golly, Omarion may be on to something! Leaked record = a 2nd shot at a career?? Everybody, get the word out, stat!
Seriously though, if you're Freeway or Jae Millz and your career isn't really going anywhere and prospects of you dropping an album are looking slim, then why not give it a shot?? Wasting away your career under the Lil Wayne/Baby umbrella isn't exactly going to set you up financially in the long run, so why not?? Same thing goes for Drake, Nicki Minaj and the rest of them. Really it goes doubly for Drake because he still has a chance to become a megastar. Here's a suggestion the homie Tye offered yesterday on Facebook: "If I was Drake Ii would follow Omarion's lead and download Tha Carter 3 on LimeWire while filming it on YouTube." Again, why not?? At the least it gets you a little attention on the websites and blog, at the most it gets you off Cash Money or Young Money and give you another shot at actually releasing some music and making a living.
And if you haven't heard that mediocre to terrible Omarion and Wayne song this is all based on, check it out below:
There you have it in all its Wayne written glory. I would say Wayne didn't want this record out because its so bad, but we've heard him be proud to release much worse so that can't be it. I just don't see why anybody at Young Money would be upset about this song leaking because its not like it was the next big hit. That's way I don't believe it has anything to do with him being dropped/released.
