A-Rod's 2-Run Homer Beats Sox In 15th

New York Yankees batter Alex Rodriguez celebrates in front of Boston Red Sox first baseman Victor Martinez (41) as Yankees runner Derek Jeter heads for home plate after Rodriguez hit a two-run home run to beat the Red Sox in the 15th inning of their MLB American League baseball game at Yankee Stadium in New York, August 7, 2009.
Over 5 freakin' hours! This game started at 7 and ended after midnight! Scoreless until the last play of the game. One on (Jeter), one out, and then BOOM! Alex Rodriguez blast one out of the park, game over.

With this win coupled with the Dodgers loss, the New York Yankees are now in sole possession of the best record in the league! What was once a struggling pitching staff is now on fire. They played 15 innings and only allowed 4 hits! That's crazy! The starting pitching battle was crazy in itself too with the 2 former Marlins Josh Beckett and A.J. Burnett going at it (damn damn damn, the fuckin' Marlins ladies and gentlemen, the fuckin' Marlins). I'm just glad it finally ended.
