Thursday Billboard Update - 10/18/07

Kid Rock comes back strong with the #1 album this week, Rock N Roll Jesus, racking up a less than stellar 163,319 in first week sales. J. Lo could've stayed where she was as her new album Brave debuts at #12 with 52,600 sold. Soulja Boy took the 60+% loss I told yall he would and quickly finds himself on the outside of the top 10 never to be seen again with a poor 42,400 this week.

Still not much movement on this week's Hot 100, in fact all the songs are same there was just a little movement from numbers 3-8. After the release of her new video, Britney's Gimme More drops 3-6 this week and will probably see what it looks like from outside the top 10 soon. Ms. Keys (aka my future baby moms) is this week's Airplay Gainer and jumps 8-4 with her new single No One.

Billboard 200 1-10

1. Kid Rock - Rock-N-Roll Jesus
2. Bruce Springsteen - Magic
3. Rascal Flatts - Still Feels Good
4. LeAnn Rimes - Family
5. Matchbox Twenty - Exile On
6. Kanye West - Graduation
7. Reba McEntire - Reba Duets
8. Sara Evans - Greatest Hits
9. High School Musical 2 sdtk
10. Josh Groban - Noel

What You Can't See:

  • At #15 and only 159,800 records sold, look for Soulja Boy to take another 30% loss and go gold some time in '09-'10.
  • Remember when I told yall 50 needed at least 2 more weeks to go platinum...well add another week to that because this week's tallies only brings Fif to 995,200 (I say only but most artist won't even sell that much overall lol).
  • Murder Inc. comes back weak with Vanessa Carlton's album Heroes & Thieves debuting at #44 and only selling about 17,000 this week (better luck with Ja, I hope, Irv).

Billboard Hot 100 1-10

1. Soulja Boy - Crank That (1-1)
2. Kanye West - Stronger (2-2)
3. Timbaland - Apologize (4-3)
4. Alicia Keys - No One (8-4)
5. Coblie Caillat - Bubbly (7-5
6. Britney Spears- Gimme More (3-6)
7. Timbaland - The Way I Are (5-7)
8. J. Holiday - Bed (6-8)
9. Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry (9-9)
10. Kanye West - Good Life (10-10)

What You Can't See:
  • After jumping 20 spots 55-35 last week, Chris Brown's Kiss Kiss jumps another 13 spot to #22.
  • Jennifer Lopez leaps a huge 19 spots 50-31... unfortunately it didn't help her album sales any.
  • Ay-ay aka The-Dream's Shawty Is A Ten jumps 47-33.
  • DJ Khaled's posse cut, I'm So Hood, makes it happen jumping head first into the Top 40, 61-40.
  • Sara Evans' As If is this week's Hot Shot Debut at #74.
  • Fergie won't let this project go her 6th single breaks the Hot 100 debuting at #91.
