Thursday Billboard Update - 10/4/07

Rascal Flatts, who had 2006's biggest first week sales, debuts at #1 this week with 555,568 sold. Keyshia Cole comes in a strong #2 with 290,079 in her first week, right in between my prediction last week of 200-350k. On the heal of that wack ass Hate On Me song, Jill Scott manages to scrap up a solid 146,260 in her debut week. Kanye (132,576 this week, -37%, 1,317,000 overall) slides, Reba (122,190 this week, -60%) takes a seat behind Kanye, Jagged Edge debut at #8 (74,424), and 50 (69,253 this week, -46%, 906,200 overall) is about to fall off the top 10 next week and still is gonna need at least 2 more weeks to cross the platinum plateau.

On the singles side, Soulja Boy and Kanye are still #1 and #2, Britney makes a major 68-3 jump this week, Timbaland had to singles in the top 10 (The Way I Are 3-4 and Apologize 22-6), J. Holiday and Keyshia Cole both fall two spots back, last week's biggest digital gainer Feist jump 28-8, and Colbie Caillat (whoever that is lol) stays posted at #10.
