Thursday Billboard Update - 12/27/07

I'm so happy (nearly ecstatic) that I was wrong with my This Week In Flops last week because because both Lupe and Jaheim exceeded my expectations with a nice week-before-Christmas push. I was off on Lupe by about 60k, but that's nothing compared to Jaheim because I said he'd do like 30k and ended up doing 176k lol. Anyway, I was right on Mary J. and Chingy so don't get TOO down on my prediction lol. Mary killed it and sold 629,00 in her first week, but unfortunately that was only good enough to get her the #2 spot on this week in particular. Chingy is at the opposite end of the spectrum debuting at #84 with 31,450. Ouch!

Oh yeah punk ass Josh Groban is still #1 and still bringing in increases. This time he sold 757,000 but look for all that to stop now that Christmas is over (thank goodness).

On the singles side there's a HUGE shocker! The reigning worst rap name in the game, Flo-Rida, has knocked Alicia Keys' No One from the top stop. I guess this is just more proof that T-Tain can make anybody a star... okay, I wouldn't go that far, but he can get them a hit at least lol. Speaking of T-Pain, Kanye's Good Life finally fell out of the top ten.
