With another 344,200 copies sold, Taylor Swift's Red remains atop the Billboard 200 for a 2nd week. Starting off at #2 is Meek Mill's Dreams & Nightmares, which sold 164,800 copies in its first week. Kendrick Lamar's Album of the Year contender, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, slides 3 spots to #5 with 62,800 copies sold.

Thursday Billboard Update - 11/1/12

Easily debuting at #1 with a whooping 1.208 million albums sold is Taylor Swift's Red. Not only is that enough to already be the 3rd highest selling album of 2012 behind only Adele's 21 (4.114 million) and One Direction's Up All Night (1.316 million), but it's also the most albums sold in a first week since Eminem's The Eminem Show (1.322 million) in 2002. Oh, and that's without the sneaky low pricing trick on Amazon like Lady Gaga (the lowest Red was sold for was $9.99). Dominance.

In other Billboard 200 news, Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d. city checks in at #2 with 241,000. I'm mad they didn't give Kendrick his own week because Taylor Swift's crazy numbers completely overshadowed what would normally be an incredible #1 debut.

For the 6th straight week Maroon 5's One More Night and Psy's Gangnam Style are #1 and #2 on the Hot 100. Leaping into the top 10 this week are Bruno Mars' Locked Out Of Heaven (15-7) and Chris Brown's Don't Wake Me Up (11-10).

Frank Ocean's Channel Orange debuts at #2 with 131,000 sold, just behind the Zac Brown Band's Uncaged with 153,000 sold. Frank Ocean's sells mostly came from iTunes, as his physical CD only sold about 3,000 copies. If his newfound fans were looking for a place to direct their anger, Amazon would be that place because they offered the Zac Brown Band's album for only $3.99 all week, which helped them surpass Frank for the #1 spot. Just putting it out there.

The big news on the Hot 100 is P!nk's Blow Me (One Last Kiss) soaring 58-9 in it's 2nd week on the charts. Also entering the top 10 is Flo Rida's Whistle, which rises 5 spots 12-7.

A few thoughts about this video:

1) Has anyone checked on Drake yet? He got snubbed for his kiss at the end of the Moment 4 Life video, only for Nicki to go on and kiss Nas at the end of this video? You know he's somewhere crying his little light skin heart out.

2) Awesome career move by Nas. I don't know when the new album is dropping, but he name will definitely be buzzing because dumb niggas will think (and say) this video means he and Nicki are dating now. Hopefully he can capitalize off of it.

3) What if Nas really is fucking Nicki Minaj? That would be an even better career move than being in this video, and it's definitely a 1,000 times better than when he hooked up with that cunt Kelis.

4) Why was Chris Brown here? I know he was on the hook, but was his presence really needed? It was just weird for the most part.

5) Chris Brown's is no longer blonde. I don't pay much attention to Chris Brown, so I could be late, but yeah, his hair is black again. I see he went with a little 1999 Puff Daddy too. I see you Chris!

In it's 52nd week on the Billboard 200, 21 is up 207% and sold 729,900 copies in the past week. And this is all while debut album 19 slides to #4 with 87,000 sold. Talk about domination. Whitney Houston's Whitney: The Greatest Hits climbs 6-2 with 175,100 copies sold in its 2nd week after re-enter the charts. Think Like A Man Trailer

Besides the fact that no man would ever run away after an one night stand with Meagan Good (even with that weird short bob thing she has going on), this movie looks really good. I have a question though, who do you go see this movie with? It would be gay as hell to go see a romcom with one of your homeboys, but at the same time, do you really want to take a chick out to see a movie that she might come out thinking you aren't shit afterward? Of course you can't go alone, so again I ask, who do you take? Fuck it, I'll just wait until it comes out on DVD.

Despite a 77% sales decrease, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV easily remains #1 with another 218,761 albums sold. Re-entering the top 10 for the first time since last October is Maroon 5's Hands All Over, which jumps 23-7 with 28,564 albums sold.

Staying on Maroon 5, on top of re-entering the top 10, their Moves Like Jagger featuring Christina Aguilera lands back at #1 this week after being bumped by Adele's Someone Like You last week. Cracking the top 10 for the first time is Rihanna's Cheers (Drink to That) (11-10).

We have another new #1 this week, and no surprise that it's Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV with a staggering 963,970 copies sold. With an 88% sales increase, Adele's 21 remains at #3 with 154,182 sold. Also posting huge post-VMA gains is Beyonce's 4 which jumps back into the top 10 (12-7) with 39,265 copies sold. That's good for an 87% increase from last week.

After one week at the top of the Hot 100, Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger featuring Christina Aguilera is bumped to #2 to make way for Adele's Someone Like You, which skyrockets 19-1 after her performance at the VMAs. And after "her" performance at the VMAs, Lady Gaga's You & I scoots 10 spots 16-6.

That leaves Look At Me Now and What's My Name, and the determining factor for me was the fact that Busta Rhymes had a better verse than everybody on every other song nominated in this category.

1) Ron Artest Changing His Name To Metta World Peace
Go ahead and toss this in the "Proof Ron Artest is insane" bucket. Metta World Peace? I... I... I just don't know anymore.

The 4th season in Italy is in the can and filming on the 5th season starts Monday back on the Shore, but that will be the end of the road. Why does everyone have to be labeled homophobic anytime they say the word gay? Do gays really think this is helping their cause? They can't, right? I mean, I'm cool with people choosing to be gay, and I think we should let them go get married and all that, but every time one of these stories pops up (which is every few days) it makes me less interested in helping their causes. Saying gay is nothing like saying nigger, but gays constantly playing the "Gay Card" is vastly becoming as annoying as blacks constantly playing the Race Card.
