2011 NFL Awards Handed Out
1) Aaron Rodgers Wins MVP In A Landslide
Votes for Aaron Rodgers: 48
Votes for Drew Brees: 2
Damn.
Aaron Rodgers bust Drew Brees' ass in the MVP voting, but Brees flipped it on him in the O.P.O.T.Y., winning 43-7. I'm totally fine with both of these first 2 awards.
3) Terrell Suggs Wins Defensive Player Of The Year
With 21 votes, T-Sizzle of Ball So Hard University beats out Jared Allen and his 14 votes (and 22 sacks) for D.P.O.T.Y. (which sadly could double as an acronym for an AVN Award for double penetration). I'm not mad at that, but I am mad that DeMarcus Ware didn't get a single vote. I guess 19.5 sacks just doesn't get you as far as it once did.
4) Cam Newton & Von Miller Win Rookie Of The Year Awards
Surprise! Cilla Cam Newton beats out Andy Dalton 47-3 and Von Miller beats out Aldon Smith 39-11. There's really nothing else to say because nobody should be surprised by these results at all.
5) Jim Harbaugh Wins Coach Of The Year
I'm starting to figure out why the NFL decided to give out all these awards at once because not of them are really even close. Harbaugh got 45 votes and Mike McCarthy and John Fox split the remaining 5.
6) Matt Stafford Wins Comeback Player Of The Year
With 21 votes Matt Stafford takes this one home, and rightfully so for him just staying healthy a full season. I am a little surprised Alex Smith didn't get more than 7 votes though.

Random News Shit: NFL Headlines Edition
Yes, you read correct, I said "LeBron's pint-sized friend." This guy we're talking about is 5'7", 135! Braylon is 6'3", 215! He should feel ashamed of himself for beating up this little dude. I mean it was probably already hard for lil man to prove he was grown and get into the club, then Braylon's ol' non-catching ass wanna punch him out. I'm assuming he was salty over not catching any passes Sunday, but you still can't do this. Hold up, he caught 0 passes and his team lost Sunday, what in the hell was he at the club anyway?? This nigga is brave, if I played for a team as sorry as the Browns, I'd probably stay my ass home. Not because I'd be scared, but because I'd be too embarrassed. Maybe that's just me.
2) Michael Crabtree Flies To San Fran To Re-Open Negotiations
Better late than never I guess, but Crabtree (neither crab, nor tree lol) was still getting TERRIBLE advice from the people around him. I still don' get the logic, you were picked 10th, you can't get 5th pick money because you weren't the 5th pick, you were 10th. Its simple. I guess they were banking on the 49ers needing his services to be a good team, but with them getting off to a 3-1 start, that couldn't be any further from the truth.
I hope he does good, but I could easily see him falling into the Mike Williams/Charles Rodgers/Peter Warrick WR Bust Hall Of Fame.
3) Eli Manning Diagnosed With Plantar Fasciitis
He's said to be day-to-day, but if I was advising him, I'd tell him to sit Sunday's game out. You're just playing the Raiders and you don't wanna aggravate it and make it worse when you have to go to New Orleans the next week. I'm sure the Giants don't need Eli to beat the Raiders the way JaMarcus Russell is playing.
4) Donovan McNabb Back To Practice
Looks like McNabb is gonna be back this Sunday to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Good for him.
5) Matthew Stafford Day-To-Day With Knee Injury
I guess it was one of those things that looks worse than it actually is because I thought dude was gonna be out for an extended period of time.

Lions, Stafford Agree To 6-Year Deal
Now that that's out of the way, I wonder who the Lions are gonna take with the 20th pick that they stole from my Cowboys in that Roy Williams trade?
Oh yeah, and do we really have to go through the wait for the #1 pick still even though its already made?? Shouldn't they just start with the #2 pick?? I guess that would make too much sense.

Random News Shit: Pre-Draft Mingling Edition
1) KC send Tony Gonzalez to ATL for 2nd-round pick in 2010
Dammit! I hate to admit it but Atlanta is gonna be fuckin' good next year. I can see them easily winning at least 12 games and doing some damage in the playoffs. I'm sad :-(.
2) Lions work on signing Matt Stafford before the draft
Sigh. The Lions need so much more than just a QB. Good thing they robbed my Cowboys for another 1st round pick in that bullshit Roy Williams trade.
3) Giants, Browns trade talks for Braylon Edwards dead
Finally, some good news! No, not that Braylon isn't coming to the NFC East, but rather the fact that if the Giants are too cheap to give up what it takes for him, you know they aren't gonna give up what it'd take for Anquan Boldin. O happy day!
4) Panthers give Delhomme 5-yr, $42.5 million extension
LMAO!! I guess the Panthers still haven't figure out that they won last year despite Jake Delhomme and not because of him. I guess time heals all wounds because after that performance against the Cards this past January, he'd be paying me if he wanted to play for my team again lol. This guy has 1, maybe 2 decent years left in him at best.
5) Cowboys re-sign Miles Austin
Who knows why this guy was left lingering on the open market for as long as he was, but thank goodness Dallas re-signed him. Austin having a big year could be the difference between making the playoffs or going fishing.
