Where Isiah Happens

The other day I was reading Bill Simmons' Page 2 column/blog on ESPN.com and he had this new shit up about some great NBA "what ifs" and #3 had me ROLLIN'! Bill ripped this shit and I was actually thinking about making a real video out of it, but I'll let y'all see what he had to say about #3: What if the Knicks had never hired Isiah Thomas?

This could have been its own bizarro "Where Amazing Happens" commercial called "Where Isiah Happens."

(Cue up the annoying piano music that haunts me every time I try to fall asleep after hearing it for five straight months.)

(Picture of the '05 Suns celebrating after a playoff win.)

Where Phoenix dumps the Stephon Marbury and Penny Hardaway contracts on someone and remakes its team into a contender happens.

(Picture of the '07 Bulls celebrating after a playoff win.)

Where Chicago dumps Eddy Curry for two lottery picks and copious amounts of cap space happens.

(Picture of the '07 Raptors celebrating after a playoff win.)

Where Toronto finds some dummy to take Jalen Rose's contract and aid its rebuilding process happens.

(Picture of San Antonio's 2005 trophy celebration.)

Where San Antonio dumps Malik Rose's contract for a center who helps them win the title happens.

(Picture of the '08 Blazers celebrating after a last-second win.)

Where the 2008 Blazers become the most likable young team in the league because they found a taker for Zach Randolph happens.

(Picture of a white SUV.)

Where a Truck Party happens.

(Picture of Anucha Browne Sanders celebrating on the courthouse steps.)

Where a humiliating $11 million sexual harassment settlement happens.

(Picture of Curry and Randolph looking overweight.)

Where an NBA frontcourt that includes two C-cups happens.

(Picture of a mostly empty Madison Square Garden.)

Where a 60-year tradition of professional basketball goes down the tubes happens.

(Picture of Isiah sitting on the bench with that frozen, blank look on his face like he's either flatlining or planning to kill everyone on the locker room after the game.)

Where Isiah Happens.

(Follow-up note: Has a GM ever directly altered the fortunes of SIX franchises before? Portland, San Antonio, Phoenix, Toronto, Chicago and New York. That's 20 percent of the league. See if you can top that resume, Chris Wallace!)

Classic! Here's the rest if you wanna check it out.

We Got Our Popcorn! Plus The Boston Massacre!

Well I actually got to see some of the game, but the quality of the picture I was looking at was so bad that it really didn't matter lol. I mainly used it for sound and just kept track of what was going on on NFL.com and ESPN.com. It seemed like a great game, what do y'all think?? I knew you'd agree lol.

Anyway, if Farve never got hurt this would've been a straight blow out! I aint gon' lie, Aaron Rodger had me scared for a minute lol. The shit I'm stuck on is that Harris pick give away! Damn T.O. you're my boy, but that shit can't happen lol. Its all good though he put in some serious work by catching for 156 yards and 1 TD (should've been two but dammit T!). Another big problem is the penalties! That shit hurt, but luckily Romo was able to dig us out of some pretty big holes.

The most important thing about this is that we won so we'll more than likely have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. That might not mean shit, but the way the rest of the NFC is playing I'm not worried about them at all especially the way Chicago ran through the playoffs last year. I think we have a good chance to make some noise this year in the playoffs BUT I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Next week, the 6-5 Detroit Lions! Sounds like another stat stuffer to me!

Oh yeah, did anyone else see the final score on that Celts/Knicks game?? WOOW! All I know is I flipped it on TNT and saw 83-39 in the 3rd quarter! Obviously that was the final (it actually ended up being (104-59) but that was some crazy ass shit, and the reason the Knicks were on national television is beyond me lol. Besides that thorough ass whuppin', I see Malik Rose (when the last time you heard that name?? lol) is back in the league...I really don't know what happened to that nigga, but at least he's back lol.
