Derrick Rose Tears ACL, Done For Playoffs
Even with this injury, I still don't think my Heat are just going to breeze through to the Finals. If we can finish off the Knicks (don't think they're gonna shoot 36% from the field with Carmelo going 3-15 for 11 and Amare going 2-7 for 9 every game), we still have to beat a tough young Pacers team, and a Celtics team that isn't one bit afraid of us. Yes, that's a little lighter than having to play the Bulls, but still no easy feat.
Now, a quick message for people blaming Tom Thibodeau for Rose's injury: SHUT THE FUCK UP! Yeah, the Bulls were up 12 with 1:10 left to play, but that doesn't mean you can just take your foot off the gas. Unless you have a ridiculous lead like the Heat today, there's no reason to pull your starters. A few buckets by the Sixers and a few turnovers by the Bulls bench and the lead could've been manageable real quick. That fact that people would even think to blame Thibs is just another reminder of how many people don't know what the fuck they're talking about when it comes to sports.
The last thing I wanted to talk about is the Olympics. With this injury to Rose, and Dwight Howard's back surgery, Team USA is all of a sudden down 2 starters. One more major injury and we could really be in trouble.

Will Ferrell Introduces Lineups At Bulls-Hornets Game
Yo, Will Ferrell is a gotdamn fool! LMAO! Who else could've done this as effortlessly and perfect as Will just did it? I say no one, or at least not many.

2012 NBA All-Star Starters Announced
The first, and most obvious, snub is Kevin Love. I mean, all Big Love has done this year is average 25.3 points a game (4th in the NBA behind Kobe, LeBron, and Durant) and 13.6 rebounds a game (2nd in the NBA). Don't get me wrong, I totally get why Blake Griffin got the nod, but it's a shame someone can put together those type of numbers and not start in the All-Star game.
I'm fine with the rest, thought I wouldn't have been mad if Bosh started over Carmelo.

STFU Award: Ric Bucher
I'm not gonna lie, if I was Dan or Stugotz, I would've hung up on Ric's bitch ass around the 9:50 mark when he said disrespected my show for the 2nd or 3rd time by saying he didn't ask to be on the show. Yeah, you might not have asked to be on the show, but you agreed to do it and you knew the type of questioning you'd face from Dan and Stu, so why start acting like a bitch about it? I don't hold any grudges against any national media members who hate the Heat (Bill Simmons, Charles Barkley, etc.), but I lost a lot of respect for Ric Bucher after his last 2 appearances on the LeBatard Show. And I know my respect doesn't mean shit to him at the end of the day, but fuck it, he sounded like a salty, bitter bitch who was dead wrong and refuses to admit it.
Derrick Rose played bad, end of story. Ric Bucher and everyone else can say whatever they want about the rest of the Bulls playing bad and them needing a shooting guard, but that doesn't remove the fact that Derrick Rose played bad. He missed 19 and 20 shots in Games 4 and 5 respectively, and closed the series shooting 35% from the field. But it's the rest of the Bulls's fault they lost? Give me a fucking break. LeBron did better than that last year when everyone said he quit against Boston, and he didn't get nearly the amount of support Rose got.
Oh, and I like how Bucher blames the Heat's defense like it was somehow an unfair advantage and they were supposed to let Rose drive to the hoop freely. Nigga please. Ric Bucher, SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Surprise! Derrick Rose Wins MVP
And to add insult to injury (or I guess in this case, injury to insult), Rose turned his ankle again at the end of the game. I guess the basketball gods weren't feeling him being anointed MVP.

2011 NBA All-Star Starters Announced
Yao Ming C Dwight Howard
Carmelo Anthony F Amare Stoudemire
Kevin Durant F LeBron James
Kobe Bryant G Dwyane Wade
Chris Paul G Derrick Rose
Anyway, Kobe got the most votes overall with 2,380,016, and Dwight Howard came in 2nd with 2,099,204. Coming in 3rd with 2,053,011 votes? LeBron James. People sure do hate that guy, I tell ya. Another funny thing in the voting is that Jamal Crawford (246,130) actually got more votes than teammate Joe Johnson (224,571). $119 million well spent.
The reserves will be announced next Thursday (February 3rd) on TNT.

Random News Shit: Unexpected Sports Edition
Talk about shocking news, I thought Fisher was staying for sure after the Titans said they were going to trade or release Vince Young, but obviously that's no longer the case.
My guess is that after all that time with one organization, Fisher will take a couple years off before jumping back into the coaching game. Even though he never won a Super Bowl, I'm sure plenty of teams would love to have him.
Speaking of Jeff Fisher, you know who must be pissed right now? Chuck Cecil. Fisher fired Cecil as defensive coordinator a week ago. I know Chuck is somewhere talking so reckless about Fisher right damn now.
2) O.J. Mayo Suspended For 10 Games
Normally this would be a bad thing, but seeing how it may help him escape Memphis, this could actually work to his advantage. Fingers crossed he doesn't land in Chicago, or New York.
Speaking of Chicago...
3) Derrick Rose Has Stomach Ulcers
So eating candy everyday is not good for you? Who knew?
4) Dallas Experiences Stripper Shortage For Super Bowl
Well when Ben Roethlisberger is coming to town, you better stock up on your naked white women. Hopefully the champagne room doesn't have lockable doors.
Seriously though, they need 10,000 strippers?? I know everything is bigger in Texas, but how big are these strip clubs?? (Rimshot!)
5) Miles Austin & Champ Bailey Are Going To Hawaii
DeSean Jackson and Nnamdi Asomugha aren't going to be able to play in this weekend's Pro Bowl, so they had to be replaced. In all honesty, Miles probably should've been there instead of DeSean regardless. DeSean only caught 47 passes (47!!!!) on the season, and while he was catching passing from Michael Vick, Miles caught most of his from Jon Kitna and Stephen McGee. Oh well, Miles made it and that's all that matters.

Derrick Rose Wins Rookie Of The Year
Surprise, surprise! Derrick Rose is bringing the R.O.Y. trophy back to Chicago. This is another one that I called with O.J. Mayo coming in 2nd. After that performance on Saturday against the C's this shit was in the bag.

Rookie-Sophomore Challenge Line-Ups
Here are the teams for the Rook-Soph Challenge which is Feb. 13 at pm! Just looking at the line-ups, I think the rookies have a good chance to snap their 6 year losing streak lol.
| Player (Team) | Position | |||
| Michael Beasley (Heat) | F | |||
| Rudy Fernandez (Trail Blazers) | G-F | |||
| Marc Gasol (Grizzlies) | C | |||
| Eric Gordon (Clippers) | G | |||

| O.J. Mayo (Grizzlies) | G | |||
| Greg Oden (Trail Blazers) | C | |||
| Derrick Rose (Bulls) | G | |||
| Russell Westbrook (Thunder) | G |
I feel bad for Greg Oden because he has to play with the c/o 08 instead of his c/o 07...in which he was the 1st player picked! lol. Sophomore team after the jump.
| Player (Team) | Position | |||
| Aaron Brooks (Rockets) | G | |||
| Wilson Chandler (Knicks) | F | |||
| Kevin Durant (Thunder) | G-F | |||
| Jeff Green (Thunder) | F | |||

Kobe's No. 24 Jersey Back At #1
When Kobe changed his number from 8 to 24 in 2007 his jersey was the number 1 seller, but in 2008 Kevin Garnett's Boston Celtics No. 5 bumped him. Now its 2009 and Kobe is back on top of thangs, knocking K.G. to #2. I can't really say I'm surprised because not only are the Lakers playing some great basketball right now, but their white jerseys are sick. I don't even wear jerseys anymore, but if I did I'd get a white Kobe. I guarantee you that if they tracked the colors sold the white joints would be #1 with the purple aways being #2 and the gold home ones coming in last. I mean ever since NBA Live 2003 I've played with the Lakers solely so I could rock the white jerseys on the game lol.
Anyway, check out the top 10 after the jump. I'm almost positive you'd be surprised when you see it. Oh, and the All-Star reserves are gonna be announced tomorrow night on TNT so tune in and come back later to see my reaction.
1) Kobe Bryant
2) Kevin Garnett
3) LeBron James
4) Chris Paul
5) Allen Iverson
6) Pau Gasol
7) Paul Pierce
8) Dwyane Wade
9) Derrick Rose
10) Nate Robinson
Really?? Nate Robinson made the list?? Then again, if you like the Knicks, who else's jersey are you gonna buy?? lol. I also can't believe Pau Gasol is all the way up to #6! I'm telling you, its those white Laker jerseys. Next year Bynum will probably be up there too. Lastly, how did D-Wade drop to #8?? Fucked up lol.

Surprise! Rose #1, Beasley #2
I turned NBA Live off just in time to see Derrick Rose sitting on the couch talking to Stephen A. Smith, but it was a no-brainer who the Bulls were picking. Its been a subject of debate if the Heat would take Michael Beasley #2 and they made the right decision and made it happen. I mean O.J. Mayo is nice, but the Heat have enough guards.
BTW, no surprise O.J. went #3 to my former team the Minnesota Timberwolves. I'm sure they'll misuse him and waste away his best years, but best of luck to him anyway.

Damn Bulls!
Damn, I was hoping the Heat would win the draft lottery tonight and get this #1 overall pick but the punk ass Bulls won. The Heat still got #2 and will still get either Michael Beasley or Derrick Rose so its really not that bad. Plus, the last time the Heat sent a player to represent them (Caron Butler) they ended up with Dwyane Wade so hopefully the same luck will continue come draft time in June. Then again, the last night the Bulls had the #1 overall pick there was a big man and a guard available and as you can well see Elton Brand worked out a lot better than Steve Francis lol. I guess we'll see.
How about those Knicks though?? Damn, them niggas can't catch a break! They had the 2nd most balls behind the Heat (no homo) and they ended up with the 6th pick lol. A 6th pick they'll probably waste on Kevin Love or some shit lol. Oh well!
Oh and it looks like Hovito didn't bring much luck to the Nets as they ended up with the 10th overall pick. Tough break nigga lol.
