Fuck Kelis. That's my first thought after watching this video. My second thought was, damn, if MTV and BET still played music videos, this one would be in heavy rotation, especially if Kelis was still relevant. Another thought I had was who is the Seal/Donald Driver looking brotha singing in the background? I just assumed that was a 90's R&B sample, but apparently not, it was Seanold Driver. (UPDATE: Seanold Driver is actually Aaron Hall...so it is somewhat a 90's R&B sample.) Last thought: he should've burned the dress.

This Week In Flops 7/6/10
Now, with that being said, don't expect any crazy OutKast numbers from Big Boi's solo debut. I love Big, but I'm afraid other people only love Big when he's alongside Andre 3000. I think that's partially to blame for the lack of buzz and interest in his singles so far. Now you might say "on Speakerboxxx/The Love Below Big was essentially alone" and that is true, but The Way You Move was always accompanied by Hey Ya, and vice verse. In fact, they spent weeks and weeks trading #1 and #2 on the Hot 100 back in 2004 (yes I used to follow the Billboard charts waaaay before FiyahMuZik.com came about).
The point is this: don't expect anything over 200,000. I'm gonna go with 100-135k, but I have a terrible feeling it may be less. Fingers crossed for Big!
Dammit I hope this album flops hard! No, not just flop, but FLOP HARD! I'm talking less than 5,000 albums sold. That isn't out of the realm of possibility either, it's not like we've heard much out of Kelis outside of her sitting of Nas for all his money and not letting him see his child. I'm gonna guess 5-15k.
Juvenile got an album coming out?? Man, I had no idea! Well if I didn't even know about it, I'm sure many of y'all didn't, so I'm guessing Beast Mode lands somewhere in the 3-13k range.

Kelis Files For Divorce From Nas
Man, how random is this?? They seemed so in love...not to mention Kelis is 7-months pregnant! This makes me sad. I can barely write about it. Matter of fact I'm not! I'm out this shit nigga peace!
(Oh, one last thing, what is Nas gonna do about his Kelis tattoo?? Example 7,014,549 of why you don't get somebody's name tattooed on you lol.)

Random News Shit
1) Nas, Kelis Reportedly Expecting Their First Child
Nas and Jay-Z have been in competition for years and Jay always seems to come out on top...well not this time! Nas gets the W in the race to impregnate their by R&B wifey! Seriously though, congrats to them.
2) Rick Ross Promises 'A Lot Of Problems' From 'Scathing' Dis Track
First off Ross is not on Slip-N-Slide anymore and his Deeper Than Rap album is dropping April. Anyway, the B-side to his single I'm The Magnificent featuring John Legend, is gonna be a track called Mafia Music where Ross is supposed to be calling some people out. Not sure who, maybe Trick?? Welp, we shall see because its supposed to be coming next week.
3) Spider-Man to save Inauguration Day!
Click the link. You see that cover?? Yeah, that's official!
4) Pittsburgh mayor Ravenstahl changes name to 'Steelerstahl'
Bad idea because if the Steelers lose the city can blame it on him sense they beat the Ravens twice when he was Ravenstahl lol.
5) Couple weds in fast-food style ... in Taco Bell
That dude must be a fuckin' playa! If you can get a chick to marry you in a fast food restaurant during store hours you have to have some crazy game or like a 20 inch dick. One or the other lol.

This Week In Flops 3/11/08
It pains to put such a good album here, but as you might or might not know anything I think will sale less than 300,000 is a flop. I think Ross would have been better off keeping his original release date on the 18th and going up against fellow Poe Boy rapper Flo Rida and Danity Kane, or even better on the 25th against Day26, but I guess that's why I don't work at Def Jam lol. Rick Ross is a cool dude and this Trilla album bangs, but I think with Snoop and Fat Joe drawing away from his sales he'll fall into the 175-225k range, which isn't bad might I add lol. Hopefully does better and I'll be in Circuit City coppin' mine this Friday.
This is another hard album that I hate to see here, but I gotta do what I gotta do. Now, minus the Papoose fight and G-Unit mixtape promotion I'd put Joey in about the 60-75k range going off the buzz of his single I Won't Tell, BUT having all these Hip-Hop sites and blogs on fire never hurts when it comes to sales. I think Fat Joe will do about 130-160k in his first week which is also not bad for any artist now-a-days, but even better for one on an independent label like Joe.
Who knows why Kelis has a greatest hits album seeing that she only has like 2 or 3 hits and got dropped from her label recently, but whatever. Seeing how much her actual albums sold you can't expect much from this shit so I got her doing around 5-15k. Now, this is not to say I don't like Kelis because I still thinks she's fine as hell and most likely a straight freak, but whoever had the idea to drop this (I'm sure it was Kelis) should be dropped.
This shit should probably be in Photoshop Police another than This Week In Flops, but I'll spare it for now lol. Damn, the art work is just so bad it makes me not wanna talk about it lol. Fuck it, no one knows this shit is droppin' and its a bunch of old ass shit he did before A Bay Bay (like that Rick Ross Rise To Power shit...just with much worse art work lol) so it won't sale shit regardless lol. The cover alone wouldn't even let me pick it up to read the back if I saw it in the store so I'm sure this won't do anything outside the 5-10k range.
