Yelawolf - Hard White (Up In The Club) (feat. Lil Jon) Video

This is going to sound like a cruel joke, but I swore it's a compliment: this song would've been the SHIT in 2003-04! Lil Jon's crunk music got the Ying Yang Twinz, the Youngbloodz, Lil Scrappy and a bunch of other hits back in the day, you telling me this wouldn't have been one of them? Not saying it's not hot now, but you would've been hearing it constantly back then.

Personally, I like the song regardless of the year. The shit is bumpin' and it shows me Yelawolf is capable of making mainstream hits in the future without forcing it (See: Papoose). That's obviously the key to new artist success these days.

Thursday Billboard Update - 7/8/10

Recovery
In its 2nd week in stores, Eminem's Recovery album moves another 313,292 and goes platinum...surprising no one. As it stands, 1,057,698 copies of Recovery have been sold. Drake's Thank Me Later hangs in at #2 with another 104,885 sold to move his total to 708,868. I'd say he's about 5 weeks out from platinum status. Lastly, The-Dream's Love King checks in at #4 with 58,488 sold in its first week.

Not much movement on the Hot 100 this week.

The Billboard 200 1-10
first week debuts in bold

1. Eminem - Recovery (1-1)
2. Drake - Thank Me Later (2-2)
3. Various Artists - The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (10-3)
4. The-Dream - Love King (4)
5. Various Artists - Now 34 (5-5)
6. Justin Bieber - My World 2.0 (8-6)
7. 3OH!3 - Streets Of Gold (7)
8. Jack Johnson - To The Sea (7-8)
9. Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed (3-9)
10. Lady Antebellum - Need You Now (12-10)
  • Dwele's What Women Want debuts at #28 with 13,600 sold.
The Billboard Hot 100 1-10

1. Katy Perry - California Gurls (1-1)
2. Eminem - Love The Way You Lie (2-2)
3. Usher - OMG (3-3)
4. B.o.B - Airplanes (4-4)
5. Travis McCoy - Billionaire (5-5)
6. Mike Posner - Cooler Than Me (7-6)
7. Taio Cruz - Dynamite (14-7)
8. Drake - Find Your Love (6-8)

Thursday Billboard Update - 6/17/10

Glee: The Music, Journey To Regionals
Christina Aguilera returns to charts these with her 4th English speaking album, Bionic, which moved 152,000. Also releasing his 4th album, Plies' Goon Affiliated sells 56,500 in its first week in stores. The imaginary goon seems to be fading a bit, huh?? After peaking with Definition Of Real selling 214,000 first week and going gold, he returned with Da REAList 6 months later and sold 114,000 first week, and is now down to 56,000 first week with Goon Affiliated. I'm just saying.

Eminem's Not Afraid returns to the top 10 this week at #8, possibly being aided by the buzz surrounding the Recovery leak. Drake's Find Your Love finally makes it to the top 10, I'm sure it'll hang around for a few weeks. Sadly, B.o.B's Nothin' On You finally exits stage left from the top 10.

The Billboard 200 1-10
first week debuts in bold

1. Glee Cast - Glee: The Music, Journey To Regionals (1)
2. Various Artists - The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2)
3. Christina Aguilera - Bionic (3)
4. Jack Johnson - To The Sea (1-4)
5. Plies - Goon Affiliated (5)
6. Justin Bieber - My World 2.0 (2-6)
7. Glee Cast - The Music Volume 3: Showstoppers (3-7)
8. Lady Antebellum - Need You Now (4-8)
9. Dierks Bentley - Up On The Ridge (9)
10. Jewel - Sweet & Wild (10)
  • Travis McCoy's debut solo Lazarus checks in at #27 with just 15,100 sold.
  • Welp, I guess I was right, nobody cares about Crunk Rock because Lil Jon's comeback album starts at #49 with 8,900 sold.
The Billboard Hot 100 1-10
first time top 10's in bold

1. Katy Perry - California Gurls (1-1)
2. Usher - OMG (2-2)
3. B.o.B - Airplanes (3-3)
4. Travis McCoy - Billionaire (5-4)
5. Ke$ha - Your Love Is My Drug (4-5)
6. Lady Gaga - Alejandro (7-6)
7. Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart (6-7)
8. Eminem - Not Afraid (11-8)
9. Black Eyed Peas - Rock That Body (9-9)
10. Drake - Find Your Love (13-10)
  • Nicki Minaj's ultra annoying Your Love makes a huge 25 spot jump this week 51-26 in just its 2nd week on the charts. If she keeps up this pace maybe Cash Money will let her release an album a year after her hottest point too.
  • Jaden Smith makes music now too?? Well either way, Justin Bieber has a track called Never Say Never, which is said to feature the new Karate Kid, and debuts at #33.
  • Christina Aguilera's title track to Bionic debuts at #66.
  • Ne-Yo's Beautiful Monster, which Joe Budden thinks is about a bad bitch he wanted that has a STD, debuts at #67.
  • Lil Jon's Hey debuts at #70.
  • Ludacris' Sex Room jumps 12 spots 85-72 in its 3rd week around.
  • Christina Aguilera's Not Myself Tonight debuts at #75.
  • And lastly, Christina's collabo with Nicki Minaj, WooHoo, debuts at #99.

This Week In Flops 6/8/10

Christina Aguilera - Bionic
I knew this was on the horizon, but I thought it was coming in the fall, or at least later on this summer. Oh well, its here now, and I must guess how much its gonna sell. I don't have much to say about the album, in part because I know almost nothing about it, but its Christina Aguilera so I think its gonna do at least 150,000. My guess is 150-185k.

Plies - Goon Affiliated
Welp, this fuckery is finally out. I don't have a good feeling about this album. No not because it most likely sucks, but because the buzz just isn't there. Plies' last album moved 114,000 in its first week, but I don't even think this one will crack six figures. I'm thinking it'll land somewhere in the 75-100k range.

Travis McCoy - Lazarus
I don't know shit about this nigga's solo career besides that his song is gonna jump into the top 10 this week, and that his album is dropping. Top 10 single + little buzz = not as many albums sold as you'd think. It'll probably fall in the 45-75k range.

Lil Jon - Crunk Rock
This album should've come out 5 years ago. Now, that is not all Lil Jon's fault, but crunk music is dead, so this album really has no space in today's market. Expect first week sales to be low. Very low. I'm talking 15-35k low. Hell, maybe worse.

Rhymefest - El Che
If you thought I knew nothing about the albums above, you've seen nothing yet, because I didn't even know this album existed until yesterday. Not a good sign for the man with one of the worse rap names in Hip-Hop history. I'm guessing 5-15k.

Muzik Pt. 1

Busta Rhymes Feat. T-Pain - Hustler's Dream (Clean)

Wow, not impressed... at all lol.

Lil Jon Feat. Ciara & Lil Wayne - Roll Call

Can I get a show of hands from all the indiviuals that forget about Crunk Rock?? Let it go Jon, your time came and went in 2004 lol.

Shawty Lo - Roll The Dice

Why do niggas keep insisting on remixes tracks other people have already remixed?? First Wayne then Jeezy and now Lo. Anyway, as far as the track goes, in the 2nd verse it sounds like he was trying to call a truce with T.I. again but then again who knows with this nigga because beef with T.I. is obviously the only reason he's ever mentioned.

Lloyd Banks - Don't Come Around

I hope Banks is gonna put this type of effort on his album tracks. Good shit.

DJ Drama Feat. Ghostface & Lupe Fiasco - Paint A Picture

This shit is sick! Ghostface rips it, Lupe rips it, the beat is hard! Just a overall good ass track.

DJ Green Lantern Feat. Avery Storm & Uncle Murda - Crazy World

I never made a post about dude the cops shot in the back, but how sad was that?? Man, so fucked up still in 2009.

Ne-Yo - I'm Doin' Ok

How many tracks did Ne-Yo do for his last album?? I mean damn he's still dropping shit lol. This track, like its title, is just ok though.

Ya Boy Feat. E-40, Kurupt, & Glasses Malone - Superstars

No disrespect to Kurupt but his verse was wack! I'm about all of it from the way he spit it to the actual lyrics lol. And can somebody tell Glasses Malone he's gonna have a hard time trying to be a gangsta rapper using auto-tune lol. The verses went from good to bad to badder to baddest lol.

Jim Jones Feat. Ryan Leslie - Precious

Jimmy went back to the old super wack version of himself from like 03-04 lol. I mean that 2nd verse was just terrible and to add insult to injury he was off beat...as hell lol.

N.O.R.E. - Blame It Freestyle

I love N.O.R.E. but he does nothing to help this track out.

N.O.R.E. - Ain't I Freestyle

I don't know if its because this track is just wack or N.O.R.E. was just bad, but I hated this.

The Pussy Patch

lmI know a lot of niggas that could use this shit lol.

Funny, not hilarious though. The real saving grace was Michael Blackson as that dog, he ripped it!

Anyway, I guess this is a new thing Lil Jon is doing because the YouTube channel that uploaded it was only started up on the 13th. There is another video they had with Katt Williams as Al Sharpton so just consider this a bonus:

All That New Music I Never Posted Pt. 1

Sorry it took so long, but better late than never, right? Probably wrong, but if you haven't heard/downloaded any of these just listen and/or download them from me.

Usher - His Mistakes

Usher - Moving Mountains

I LOVE both of these 2 new Ushers tracks! I was a bit skeptical about how he'd come back after a new 2004, but he seems to be doing just fine.

Common - The Light 2008 (Its Love)

This shit has been getting a lot of burn on the radio during that 5 o'clock hour. Hey, its love.

Lyfe Jennings - Never Never Land

WACK!

Lyfe Jennings - Brand New

HOT! Would have been much hotter without the old ass rap verses, but its all good lol.

Snoop Dogg Feat. Too Short - Life Of Da Party

Its straight, nothing special.

E-40 Feat. Lil Jon - Turf Drop
