Mavericks, Bobcats Get New Uniforms
These Mavs jerseys are essentially blue versions of their Diddy designed green alternatives. No big deal here.
Check out the Bobcats' new and improved uniforms after the jump.
Now these are new uniforms! I mean I didn't hate their old uniforms, but these are more professional looking. Maybe these guys are ready for a real playoff run since they're now a real team. Is Jordan still working in their front office?? Well if he is that's a strike against them, but then again, I know sell out ass Bob Johnson sold the team so maybe the 2 negatives will cancel each other out. (Its a good thing I'm black because that last sentence coming from a white writer would've been "racist" even though Jordan is disaster in NBA front offices and Johnson is, well,
a sell out lol).
Here goes some more info on pics of the 'Cats new unis.

Random News Shit: NBA Free Agency Edition
1) Pistons Snag Ben Gordon & Charlie Villanueva
After firing coach Michael Curry, the Detroit Pistons have picked up 2 free agents in Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva. They both are getting 5-year deals, but Gordon's is worth $55 million while Villanueva's is worth $40 million.
Now, I'm not sure how good or bad this makes them, but it should be interesting to see what the 09-10 Pistons look like come November.
2) Turkoglu Meets With Blazers
He just better go whenever the money is because the Magic have already made their move and basically told him it didn't matter if he stays or goes. Good luck to Turk, but I think that was the last time we'll see him in the Finals.
3) Ariza Leans Toward Leaving Lakers
Well can't say I didn't see this coming. Trevor Ariza will be the 2008 James Posey to the Lakers 2008 Celtics. That meaning Ariza will come to some team that looks to be on the raise...and suck. While the Lakers will start out hot and then struggle and ultimately not repeat. That's my prediction for next season.
4) Kidd Meets With Knicks, Mavs Offer 3-Year Deal
Why would you want to sign Jason Kidd to a 3-year deal?? Mark Cuban does know Kidd is 36 years-old, right?? I'd think long and hard about giving him a 1 or 2 year deal, let alone one for 3! That's just insane.
5) Clippers Trade Randolph For Richardson
Damn, what the fuck happened to Quentin Richardson's career?? Homie went from the Knicks to the Grizzlies to the Clippers in one week! They couldn't at least trade him to a contender and let them trade him away so he could at least have said he was with a winning team??
On another note, where is Zach Randolph's career when he's seen basically as the equivalent to Darko Milicic?? Shit is depressing lol.

The NBA, Where Apologies Happen
Let the records show, I do not like Glen "Big Baby" Davis (mainly because that horrendous fro-hawk he brought out for the playoffs), but this guy Ernest Provetti has GOT to be kidding! He wants Big Baby to apologize for accidentally pushing his kid who was practically on the court when Davis hit the shot of his life?? Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit! The kid wasn't hurt, hell he didn't even fall down! And to call Baby a "raging animal with no regard for fans' personal safety," was completely uncalled for. Somebody stick something in this rich faggot's mouth.
Big Baby did take the classy route and apologized to this prick and his fat ass son.
2) Mark Cuban Apologizes to Kenyon Martin's Mom
Good job Mark. I don't condone what he did, but I understand how it happened. You can't expect one of the most emotional people associated with the NBA to always think before he speaks, especially after a heartbreaking loss like the Mavs (rightfully) suffered Saturday.
And speaking of that game, it ended just the way it was supposed to. That kid Wright acted like he wasn't even trying to foul 'Melo which was evident by him 1) throwing his hands up after the reach-in as to say "I didn't foul him" 2) waiting until after 'Melo took and made the shot to look at the ref and complain 3) not just wrapping 'Melo up. Like Doc Rivers now says, "Foul the right way, not the Wright way."
3) Tar Heels Visit The White House
I want that jersey!
4) Romo Fails to Qualify for U.S. Open Again
Romo better sharpen up on his golf game because he'll be on the course and out of the playoffs again this January.
