Dez Bryant Postpones Surgery, Will Try To Play
Now while I applaud his heart and willingness to try and help his team, I think this is an absolutely awful idea. I'm a Cowboys, but even I can admit we aren't going anywhere this year, so why risk doing long term damage to your hand in more-than-likely meaningless season? Plus, how effective can he even be playing while wearing a splint to protect his broken finger? Will he even be 70% of his normal self? Hell, even if he is 70% of his normal self, I rather just play Kevin Olgetree or Dwayne Harris because at least they're healthy.
Yes, I would love to have him on the field Sunday, but the risk is too high and I say we shut him down immediately.

Why Aren't The Cowboys Trying To Sign T.J. Houshmandzadeh?
I don't know, but here's where my Cowboys come in: Miles Austin has missed the last few days of practice, and possibly won't play in Sunday's preseason game against the Chargers because of a tight hamstring. By all accounts, the injury is minor, but it does raise concerns about what we'll do this season if either Miles or Dez Bryant get hurt.
Behind Miles and Dez right now we have Kevin Olgetree (10 career receptions and 130 career yards), Dwayne Harris (2011 6th round pick), and Raymond Radway (undrafted free agent rookie). That's it. Last year we traded Patrick Crayton (I told you we'd regret it), and obviously we cut Roy Williams, so clearly we're thin as hell at receiver.
That brings me to the title of this post: Why (in the FUCK) aren't the Cowboys trying to sign T.J. Houshmanzadeh?
Again, he's not injured, he's not a "head case," and evidently he's not that sought after (may mean we can get him at a reasonable price), so what would be the down side to this? Best case scenario: Miles and Dez stay healthy and we upgrade our #3 WR spot; worse case scenario: we have a more than capable #2 WR if either Miles or Dez goes down with an injury. (Feel free to interrupt me when I hit a bad part.)
Jerry, if you're listening (and I know you're not), it's time to make up for the Roy and Crayton trades and make a smart move at WR. Go. Get. Housh!
(Side note: Let the records show that if Miles or Dez don't get hurt, the #3 receiver spot won't even matter because we have Jason Witten. When we went 13-3 in 2007, our third wide-out was Sam Hurd and he finished the season with 19 catches for 314 yards and 1 touchdown. That's it. I'm fairly confident Olgetree, Radway, and Harris could handle that, but I'm even more confident Jason Witten will put up another 90 catch, near 1,000 yard season.)
(Side side note: I'm gonna be so pissed if the Patriots steal him too!)

Dez Bryant Refuses To Carry Roy Williams' Pads...Good!
Which brings me to my next point: Who the fuck is Roy Williams to put another receiver in his place?? Roy and Dez have done about the same production-wise for the Dallas Cowboys, the only difference is that Dez has yet to play in a game. Roy hasn't earned the right to rookie haze anybody, especially Dez Bryant. Tony Romo? Fine. Jason Witten? Fine. Miles Austin? Fine. Patrick Crayton? Fine. Roy Williams? Negro please!
(Oh, and this just in, Dez's mom was in attendance at practice Sunday, which makes me believe even more that Roy was trying to show him up.)

Cowboys Agree To Terms With Dez Bryant
Oh wait, the news just keeps getting better as the Cowboys have also come to terms with 2nd-rounder Sean Lee and now have all rookies signed and ready to go for tomorrow! *Fist pump!*

Dez Bryant Jerseys Already For Sell On DallasCowboys.com
I was wondering what number Dez was gonna wear in the NFL since he obviously can't wear #1. I figured it'd be T.O.'s #81, but apparently its Michael Irvin's #88. That number really should be retired if you ask me, but I ain't mad at Dez. My question is this though: Didn't Antonio Bryant wear #88 too??? Well how do we know these aren't just old unsold Antonio Bryant jerseys?? Oh well, I'll give the kid time to prove himself before I buy his jersey, by then all the Antonios will be gone. Besides, I just bought a Miles Austin jersey a couple months ago.

Dez Bryant Is A Dallas Cowboy!
That's right, with the 24th overall pick the Dallas Cowboys bring in the best WR the 2010 NFL draft had to offer! You don't know how excited this makes me. Not only do we have another game breaking wide-out, but not we can get rid of the mistake that is Roy Williams.
Coming into the draft I wanted a safety because we are thin back there now that Ken Hamlin is an ex-Cowboy. I knew Eric Berry was going somewhere in the top 7, so I ruled him out. The guy I really wanted was UT's Earl Thomas, but I knew we'd have to trade up to get him. We didn't, and he went to the Seahawks at #14. I knew Taylor Mays would be there, but I didn't want him because I just have an odd feeling that he's gonna end up being Roy L. Williams 2.0 in Wade Phillips' defense. Then came the reality of Dez Bryant. You know what I thought when I saw he was still around going into the 20s?? It was the following: "Fuck safety, go get Dez Bryant, Jerry!" Then Jerry did just that, swamping picks with New England and getting the steal of the first round.
Now lets analyze the Cowboys WR corps. First and foremost, we have the baddest man in Valley Ranch, Miles Austin. After he him we have Patrick Crayton, Kevin Olgetree, Sam Hurd, and now Dez Bryant! Oh yeah and the Roy Williams guy too. Hell, now at least we can try to trade him or just cut him. I'd take as low as a 5th round pick for the guy, but I would aim for at least a 3rd.
I'm just so excited! Hey, and now Dez can go visit Deion Sanders whenever the fuck he wants without repercussion.
(Side note: Bill Simmons has yet to say anything publicly, but I know he is super pissed his Pats traded out of a chance to get Dez Bryant. Randy Moss is getting older and Wes Welker is coming off a torn ACL and MCL, they need bodies. Oh well!)

Random News Shit: SportsCenter Edition
1) Roy Williams Throws Romo & Austin Under The Bus
Here we go again! Damn I hate Roy Williams! Not only does he suck and not produce, but now he's dissing people. Its okay if T.O. does it because he's gonna put up numbers, but Roy is terrible. I don't think is a coincidence that all of a sudden the offense started clicking right when he got hurt and Miles Austin got more opportunity.
Hey Roy, Romo isn't throwing the ball correctly to everyone else, you're just the only one not in the right place when the ball arrives. Either that, or you drop the ball. Either way you suck and I really wish they'd put you at your rightful spot as the 4th or 5th WR.
2) NOW Wants Tom Cable Suspended Now!
And of course by "NOW" I'm referring to the National Organization for Women. So yeah, they want Tom Cable suspended because he admitted to hitting one of his bitches back in the day.
Now, I'm no employee of the moral police, but isn't coaching the Raiders punishment enough?? Seriously, I'll take staying home and receiving checks over watching JaMarcus Russell and his Buffie The Body hips overthrowing his WRs by 8 feet ANY day of the week! NOW should want something bad to happen to him, not something that would rival a vacation to Jamaica. Tom Cable is getting his punishment as we speak.
3) Dez Bryant Loses Final Suspension Appeal
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, FUCK THE NCAA! Fuck 'em long and fuck 'em hard. Fuck 'em in the ear. Fuck 'em with a sand paper condom on. Fuck 'em with one of those fake dicks from those Freaks Of Cock pornos. Just fuck 'em! Dez, go to the NFL, work your way into the starting line-up, and when you play in a Sunday night on NBC during the starters introduction where everyone says their name and college, say "Dez Bryant, University of FUCK 'EM!"
I rest my case lol.
4) Celts' Glen Davis Wants To Play in the NFL After NBA Career
He has the size, but he's crazy if he thinks he's gonna make it in the NFL at like 36 or 37. Plus, you get paid more in the NBA so sit your big cry baby ass down and worry about not fighting old team mates and injuring yourself.
5) Joe Girardi Stops To Help Motorist After World Series
Okay I wanna know how fine this lady was that he stopped and darted across traffic to help her out. Its well documented that dudes are more willing to help attractive women. Y'all know what I'm talking about. Let it had been an overweight ugly broad, she'd probably be on the side of the road still. The police and ambulance probably would've kept driving too lol.

OSU's Dez Bryant Ruled Ineligible By NCAA For Lying
This is such bullshit its not even funny! The NCAA is a fuckin' joke! They don't care about these kids, all they wanna do is make money off of them and pass down bullshit rulings like this and its sickening. I don't know if they realize it, but they aren't judges, lawyers, or federal agents and Bryant was neither on trial nor under oath. Was Bryant lying wrong?? Yes. Was it so wrong that he can't play football anymore this year?? Fuck no!
This is why I don't watch college football or play college football video games now. I shake my head at the bitch ass cowards at the NCAA. Fuck 'em.
(Side note: Check out Jason Whitlock's NFL Truths column where he basically says Deion Sanders is a worse mentor than Master P was a sports agent.)
