Adam Richman Is A Hip-Hop Head!
I was always a fan of Man vs. Food, but finding out that Adam Richman is a Hip-Hop fan makes me wish I was a more dedicated viewer (I started watching other things once I got more than basic cable). Oh well, I'll be sure to check out his new show, Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America, Wednesday nights at 9pm on the Travel Channel.

Papoose Destroys Sway's 5 Fingers Of Death
Shit! Is Papoose back? He fell out hard after Jive gave him that $1.5 million in 2006 because he kept trying to make club singles instead of just making good music, but this is an awesome sign. Salute to Pap for this regardless.

Big K.R.I.T. Gets A Release Date
I haven't been on any of my favorite Hip-Hop blogs in weeks, so I'm sure I'm late as fuck with the news that Big K.R.I.T.'s debut album Live From The Underground has an official release date of June 5th. Hopefully that stick because I'm tired of my man giving away all his music for free.
The other big news K.R.I.T. dropped on Sway was that he has a feature from B.B. King on the album. That's huge! Usually when rappers don't wanna reveal their "big" features it's just another rapper, but this one is major. Can't wait to hear Praying Man featuring B.B. King.

Miranda Cosgrove on Sway In The Morning? This was so random I had to post it.
I'm not gonna lie though, I actually watch and enjoy iCarly. I don't catch it as much as I used to, but if it's on, I'll definitely stop and watch. Unfortunately, I was gone all Monday and forgot about the Michelle Obama episode, but I'm sure it will be on many days to come.
I wonder if I can get Jennette McCurdy to come on with me if I reboot my podcast? She's just so damn cute to me (and yes, she's over 18 before you call me a perv). Oooh, or maybe that Victoria Justice chick? She's actually from Broward County, you know? I think I'd have a shot...okay, not really.

Common Finally Acknowledges Dissing Drake
I'm still a huge Common fan, but I don't love how he came off in this video. I still don't get the point of his rant on Sweet, like what was really his motive because I'm sure it wasn't that he wants to have a rap battle with Drake. I also don't get why Drake is out in Cali acting like the tough guy we all know he isn't.
Whatever, this dumb shit is already a nominee for the 2012 L.A.M.E. Awards for Lamest Beef.

That verse Don Trip spit was awesome, but he's GOT to do something with that terrible delivery. He sounded like he was half awake and that's never a good thing. The lyrics were still ill though, so it's all good.

Drake & Nicki Minaj Interview Drake & Nicki Minaj
I love to see artists having fun and it looked like Drake and Nicki were doing just that, so I can't be mad at that. Hell, if I were famous I'd be fucking around in interviews and having fun too. You never know how long you have in this Hip-Hop game, so why not?
The only issue I had with the video is how Nicki Minaj was sitting. I honestly don't know if she has a plastic ass or wears butt pads or has on a diaper or what, but something just isn't right with the way she was sitting. Whatever.

Kanye West: The "Runaway" Interview
MTV.com has up a 16 part interview with Kanye West after the premiere of "Runaway" (because putting all these 2-3 minutes videos in one would've been too easy). Obviously I'm too lazy to post all 16, but I did watch them, and now I present to you the most important ones.
This was probably the best news of the interview. The Kanye and Jay-Z EP Watch The Throne will now be a full-length album. No word on when it's going to drop, but don't look forward to it actually being done in a day lol.

Okay, so go ahead and skip to 1:55 on this video to hear where Kanye says he decided about a week ago that he'd become the best rapper of all-time. It'll never happen, but I'm not gonna down the man for striving to be the best.
Not sure why Lil Wayne was mentioned over Nas when the convo shifted to who he'd have to pass, or why CyHi Da Prince was mentioned in the new artist portion. Lil Wayne is good, but Kanye has been better than him for years now. He should be more focused on passing the likes of Nas, Scarface, and Andre 3000 than Lil Wayne. I like Weezy, but he's not even in the all-time great conversation. As far as CyHi goes, obviously Kanye is gonna hype his artist, but he doesn't even believe that CyHi is gonna be an all-time great. I mean, he isn't even good yet. When CyHi becomes good, then we can talk about him possibly becoming great. Until then, no mas.
And last, but not least, the portion that is probably gonna land Yeezy in some hot water. A little past a minute in he says Michael Jackson is arguably a bigger pop culture figure than Jesus Christ.

I see where he was trying (emphasis on "trying") to go with that, but it even got a rise out of me when he said it. Kanye has GOT to know better than to say some shit like that, because with all the thinking he's been doing, he should know people are gonna tweak it and say "Kanye said Michael Jackson was bigger than Jesus." That's not exactly what he said, but it's close enough to possibly get him in trouble.
Welp, if this becomes the big story of next week, remember you were warned.

MTV's Brain-Dead Trust Is Back With "Hottest" MCs List
Why won't MTV just let this thing die?? It worked for "It's On with Alexa Chung," why not try out the axe with this annually bad list?? I mean, the Brain-Dead Trust never get it right, and someone always ends up saying something blasphemously stupid, like the year the one chick said Soulja Boy was better than Nas. It's embarrassing, really.
Hell, even when they get #1 right (like they did last year with Jay-Z), there's always massive flaws like Gucci Mane making the list at #6 with no album out while Eminem misses it completely after going double platinum mere months prior.
Oh well, I guess it's to be seen how the Brain-Dead fuck it up this year. Will Eminem miss the cut again after another huge year?? Will Waka Flocka breaks the top 5?? Eminem To Perform At MTV Movie Awards May 31st
Andy Samberg hosting and Eminem performing?? Sounds like a good deal to me. I wonder who else is performing??
Anyway, I'm thinking about signing up for MTV (even though I remember doing it at least twice in the past lol) just so I can vote on the Movie Award winners. The one I'm stuck on right now is Best Comedic Performance because it could really go so many ways from Will Ferrell in "Step Brothers" to Seth Rogen in "Pineapple Express" to Russell Brand in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (don't sleep). I still haven't seen "I Love You, Man" or "Observe and Report" yet though so I can't say.
One comedic performance MTV definitely slept on though was Bobb'e J. Thompson in "Role Models." That kid was hilarious in the fuckin' movie!
