Crispus Attucks - Today Was a Good Day

Friday IS Coming Back!
Let me ask you a question, what was the last great black comedy movie? Don't worry, I'll wait.
It's hard to say, right? And even if you did come up with a movie, I bet it wasn't released within the last 5 years. My point is this: black comedy needs a new "Friday" movie because there hasn't been a hilarious black comedy since "Friday After Next" came out in 2002. That's damn near a decade! I never thought I would say this, but Cube, the future of black comedy movies is in your hands.

BET Hip-Hop Awards '10 Cyphers
Everybody else did they're thing too. I'm not a big Big Sean fan, but he ripped it.
Anyway, Diggy had the hardest verse, but I'm anxious to hear how Rev and his wife feel about Dig's closing line. JoJo has clearly stepped his bars up since the Run's House days, but he's still #2 on the depth chart. And as far as Ice Cube's sons go, why is one named OMG?? That's so not gangsta.

Ice Cube - I Rep That West (feat. Jigg)
Pretty decent joint. Kinda average actually, but that is to be expected from the vets in the game. No hate, I'm just saying, we wouldn't expect Cube to be at the top of his game this far removed from his prime. Its all good, its not like the nigga sucks like niggas that are in their prime like Gucci Mane or Soulja Boy lol.

This Week In Flops 8/19/08
Wassup people?? I decided to pry myself away from Madden and fulfill my internet duties so here we go!
First off we have Shwayze. I honestly don't think this project is gonna do all that hot BUT the fact that he has two singles that charted recently and a TV show on MTV to push this shit on give him an advantage over everyone else here. Now, I really don't do his kinda music, but I'm gonna guess anyway since technically he is a rapper. I'm gonna rock with anywhere in between 70k-90k for the homie Shwayze.
Yayyayyy! My nigga Cube is back and I'm proud to put him here because he said some of the illest shit ever on Mixtape Monday yesterday. If you don't wanna click the link, he was basically saying the he knew his core fanbase is 10 years older and 10 years younger than him (He's 39) and that demographic doesn't really buy record so he isn't expecting to do big numbers, but he feels obligated to satisfy his base. That's real nigga shit because all these niggas coming out talking big shit about they're trying to sell this or that much and have no buzz are morons. Anyway, back to the album: I think its gonna do somewhere between 40k-60k.
Ohhhh! So this is what that whole 50 diss record was about, GZA had an album dropping! GZA is ill, but its kinda sad he had to degrade himself like that to garner buzz. Anyway, Wu will always have some sort of fanbase so I'm sure they know more about this album than I do so I really don't know what to predict, but I'm gonna play its safe and say less than 15k.
I don't know anything about this project either, but I fuck with this artwork! No prediction here because he probably won't chart (i.e. Khia's Nastiy Muzik lol)

Muzik Pt. 2
Joell Ortiz - Memories
Joell is fuckin' incredible!
Freeway - Freedom Of Speech
Maybe this got left off his Free At Last...or maybe he's working on a new album?? I'm hoping for the latter!
Lupe Fiasco - The Commercial
Don't know if this is real or old, but its Lupe so its here.
Ja Rule - Rules Of Engagement
I hope Ja made a whole new one because that one that never dropped that year seems to be leaking on the 'net track by track.
Ja Rule Feat. Robin Thicke - Pushin' It
Ice Cube Feat. WC & The Game - Get Used To It
Not feelin' the beat, but the song is straight. If this is the new Westside Connection they're gonna have to come harder than this. Oh and Cube is gonna have to bring his flow into the new millennium lol.
Ciara - Lights On (Lights Off)
This really doesn't sound much like Ciara, but I love her anyway lol.
Rhymefest - Bring It Back (Prod. By DJ Jazzy Jeff)
Rhymefest - Real Nigga Quotes (Prod. By DJ Premier)
Gorilla Zoe Feat. Lil Wayne - Lost
Now I'm lost lol.

Ice Cube - Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It
My bad y'all I meant to post this shit before I left to go get my money right lol. Whatever I'm back with some nice powerful Hip-Hop from that nigga Ice Cube. Its amazing how he can make movies like Are We There Yet? and STILL come back to be the most gangsta nigga in the game, but that's just the respect level people have for Cube. Anyway, go head and check this shit out:
Yeah this shit here is hard! Go Cube!

First Sunday Trailer
This is the trailer for Ice Cube's newest comedy First Sunday featuring himself, Tracy Morgan and Katt Williams. It starts off kinda slow, but Katt picks it up and now I'm sure I'm gonna be in the theaters on January 11th when it comes out. Check it out:
Like I said before, it comes out Jan. 11th and here's their site for additional info...though if I were you I'd just Google First Sunday lol.
