Ray Lewis Postgame Locker Room Speech

Even the shitty video quality can't fuck up the awesomeness of this speech. Who wouldn't love to have Ray Lewis as a teammate and leader?

Random News Shit: Misc. NFL News Edition

1) Rex Grossman Thinks Redskins Will Win NFC East
Forget blood testing for steroids, how about one for illegal drugs because Rexy was definitely on something potent when he made this statement.

In all seriousness, unlike most, I'm not even mad at him for saying it. I mean, what is he supposed to say, "It's clear we're the 4th best team in our division, so I'm just gonna hammer these game checks and maybe we'll have some talent next year"? No, he'd be getting killed by all the football analysts that are laughing at him right now. Of course Washington would be lucky to win 5 games this season, Rex knows that, but he obviously can't say it to reporters.

(Side note: Speaking of the NFC East, everybody seems to think Philadelphia winning is a foregone conclusion, but I'd caution them to remember the Cowboys haven't gone anywhere.)

2) Clay Matthews Says He Played 2nd Half Of 2010 With Broken Leg
Okay, I'm gonna have to go ahead and call bullshit on this story, this is almost more ridiculous than Rexy saying the Skins would win the East. I'm willing to believe he played hurt, but a broken leg? Nigga please.

3) Channing Crowder Retires At 27
He didn't want to not play for the Dolphins, so he retired? Damn, what would've happened if he got drafted by the Bills instead?

Regardless, this nigga must be out of his rabbit ass mind if he wants us to believe a budding radio career and wanting to spend time with his family is even 1% of the reason he's calling it quits. That shit had NOTHING to do with it. He's just butt hurt about being cut from the Fins and I expect him to be back eventually.

4) Ray Lewis May Retire If Ravens Win It All
Welp, I guess the Ray Lewis won't be retiring anytime soon.

5) Bill Parcells, Jerry Rice Joining ESPN
I understand Bill Parcells, but Jerry Rice? I can't remember ever caring about or being entertained by anything Jerry Rice ever said, but oh well, it's ESPN's money, not mine.

6) Undrafted Free Agent Jimmy Young Carries Roy Williams' Pads
Good job Roy, get the undrafted free agent rookie to carry your pads, not the first round stud who's going to take your job. Who knows, maybe he'd still be in Dallas had he not tried someone who is greater than him? Oh well, I'm just glad his ol' fuck ass is gone.

Field Of Dreams 2: NFL Lockout

(Side note: Why weren't there any Cowboys in this production?? What, Tony Romo and Miles Austin ain't good enough for you people?!?)

Idiocracy 101: Ravens Sign Ray Lewis To 7-Year Deal

I was shocked when they gave him the initial 3-year deal (more so because of the money than the years), but now we're hearing that the actual deal he signed was for 7 years. Yes, SEVEN! Ray Ray is 33 now, when his deal is up he'll be 40! How many linebackers do you know that can last until 40?? I mean his skills have been deteriorating over the past couple years so its a stretch to think he'll be able to play out this whole contract. Dumb move on Baltimore's end. They should probably be more interested in signing T-Sizzle, Terrell Suggs back.

Random News Shit: NFL Free Agency Edition Pt. V

1) Warner, Cards agree to 2-year, $23M deal
Shocker! I'm glad this is over because we all knew he ain't wanna leave those great receivers. The Cards will probably suck next year anyway... just like they did until January this past season. That $19 million in guarantees is crazy though!

2) Ray Lewis Staying With Ravens
Another shocker! lol. I'm not even sure why the Ravens gave him as much as they did, but I'm not mad at him for taking it lol.

3) Bengals Bring In Former Jet Coles To Replace Houshmandzadeh
Four years, $28 million. No wonder the Dolphins didn't wanna bring him in lol. Hmm, I wonder what's going on with Ocho Cinco??

4) Bengals Also Keep RB Benson
Good move by Cincy because he really came into his own outside of Chicago's system.

5) Former Redskin CB Springs Visits Philly
No! WTF?? Don't you wanna come to Dallas and play for your pop's old team?? Stop playing with yourself homie!

Maybe the Cowboys showed no interest. Jenkins and Scandrick must really be showing out for the coaching staff at Valley Ranch.

6) Lions Bring In Grady Jackson
Finally, they're trying to find some help on defense! Maybe they'll win a whole game this year lol.

7) Broncos Sign RB LaMont Jordan
Good moves because these guys go threw running backs like water. They had 7 on IR last year! That's just too crazy.

8) Jets sign former Ravens safety Leonhard to three-year deal
Good signing, this white boy hits hard! Homie plays like a brotha.

9) Broncos continue signing spree with Simms, Arrington
I wonder how Jay Cutler will take this quarterback news?? lol.

Random News Shit: NFL Free Agency Edition!

Free agency is under way as of last night at 12:00 AM, so lets catch up with the dealings so far.

1) Nooo!: Albert Hanesworth, Redskins Agree On 7-Yr/$100M deal
Fuck! I mean its not like I wanted Hanesworth to come to Dallas (I'm pretty happy with Jay Ratliff), but I sure as hell didn't want the man on a team we play 2 times a season! Dammit!

2) Cowboys Release Brad Johnson
This isn't really a #2 story, but I needed a quick pick-me-up after the #1 story lol.

3) DeAngelo Hall, Redskins Agree On $54M Deal
Not as bad news as #1, but it surely isn't good. I'm actually still kinda mad we didn't even make a serious run at him when he got cut by the Raiders considering all the injuries we had in our secondary.

4) Fred Taylor Agrees To Join Patriots
Man, and I used to like Fred too...now I can't because he's a Patriot and I HATE the Patriots. I hate them probably even more than any team in the NFC East lol.

5) Ravens Lose Bart Scott To Jets
Wow, I didn't see this coming. I thought if anybody was leaving it would be Ray Lewis since he's the elder. Welp I think this is gonna leave B-More with enough cash to re-sign Ray if he wants to return. I'd love to have Ray in Dallas, but I don't know how he'd like coming off the bench because Bradie James is staying in the starting line-up no matter what.

6) Dolphins Sign S Gibril Wilson
What??? He was available and the Cowboys didn't even try to make a run at him???? We need a new SS seeing that Roy Williams is probably on his way out, and even if he wasn't, I'm sure Gibril would still be a better alternative. Come on Jerry, its time to get active!

7) Texans trade Rosenfels to Vikings
The Vikings had to do something because that kid Jackson was nothing short of TERRIBLE in that wildcard loss to the Eagles.

8) Giants, Jacobs Agree On 4-Yr/$25M Extension
No surprise here, though I don't know how much football Jacobs is gonna have left in those bad knees. I say about 2 more good to decent years.

9) Bucs Release 5 Veterans
I know this happened the other day, but the Bucs have released basically everybody on their roster that we knew besides Tiki Barber's bother lol. Warrick Dunn, Derrick Brooks, Cato June, Joey Galloway, and Ike Hilliard were all shown the door.
