Swizz Beatz - Go New York Go (Remix)
Figured I'd go ahead and post this now before the Knicks officially went down 2-0 to the Celtics. It's a shame too because I was really looking forward to the Heat only having to face the winner of the Magic-Hawks series. Damn.
Am I wrong in thinking Swizzy's poor rapping on here is partly to blame for Amare's injury? I don't think I am.

Swizz Beatz - Y'all Don’t Really Know/Kig Tut
Man, this would've been the shit if it came out in '99 or 2000. Not so much in 2010. DMX is almost on the verge of "Don't let him to the hook nobody what" status. Busta kills it though, and DMX's verses were good too. I'll pass this with a solid C.
Well that was pretty boring, but I agree with what Swizzy said, Hip-Hop is back. You're lying to yourself if you don't think 2010 hasn't been an incredible year for Hip-Hop. More real shit, less bullshit.

Swizz Beatz - BANG BANG (feat. Pusha T & Pharrell)
Where the fuck is Malice?? Did he get saved or something?? I mean, I almost thought Pusha was the better rapper, but damn, it's like this nigga or dropped off the face of the earth.
As far as thing song goes, it's good, but the hook gets annoying as fuck. Also, I have this weird feeling Lloyd Banks was supposed to be on this track. Don't worry if you don't get it, it's just an odd feeling I have.

Nicki Minaj - Roman's Revenge (feat. Eminem) (Prod. by Swizz Beatz)
I heard a lot of complaining about this record, but I don't see the problem. The Swizzy beat was good enough, Eminem murdered it, and Nicki was Nicki. Of course Eminem killed her on her on track, why is this a surprise to anyone?? Em didn't even have to try hard to best her, because of outside of her bars aimed at Lil Kim, Nick was just blabbing on with her usual foolishness like "I'm a bad bitch, I'm a cunt. And I'll kick that ho, punt. Forced trauma, blunt."
I don't know, maybe I'm tripping, but I thought it was a good, useful record for her album. Now, I can't in good conscious buy an album called "Pink Friday," but I'm sure plenty others will.

I like it, but if that drum beat was eliminated, or even turned down a bit, it'd be MUCH better. I don't hate it in general, but they ruin the feel of the song. Either way, I'm feeling it.

Lloyd Banks - Start It Up (feat. Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, Ryan Leslie & Fabolous)
Could Ryan Leslie have contributed any less to this song?? I'm tempted to take him out of the list of features lol.
Regardless, the song is still heat. Kanye straight slaughtered his verse, and Banks and Fab did their thing as well. Hopefully there's more hotness than just this once the album hits stores.

Another win for Kanye. As far as I'm concerned the track could've went off after Jay-Z's verse, but I'm not mad at Kanye for giving niggas a chance...even though they stood no chance after the shit Hov laid down. Actually, Pusha T did his thing, but it was just overshadowed by Jay. Everything after that really could've been left on the chopping board though.

...And it does not disappoint once again. Of course they could've left Swizz Beatz's clearly unfinished verse off the track, but it's dope regardless.
Man, Kanye is on a hellified run here. A lot of niggas can't put together consecutive good songs on an album they've been working on for a year, Kanye is doing it with random songs he's dropping every week.

Man, Swizz straight freaked that Snap! The Power mix! I wish they would've brought it in earlier though, I mean, what's the point of having Kanye spit 2 verses over the original Power beat when you have that beast in your back pocket?? It should have flipped at least after the 2nd verse. Oh well, I'm just glad it came because before Swizz dropped that beat the remix was a tad lackluster, even with that cold Jay-Z verse. Good stuff Kanye, good stuff!

Random News Shit: Entertainment Edition
1) Chelsea Handler To Host 2010 VMAs
Well it's about time they picked a host, I was beginning to think they were just gonna go without one after consecutive bombs by Russell Brand. I'm not mad at the selection of Chelsea, she's quite funny, but with this little time to prepare (unless this has been planned for months and they're just announcing it now) I'm not sure she'll be able to top what Aziz Ansari did at the MTV Movie Awards.
I have a bigger issue with the VMAs though, because not only does it air the same day as the NFL kickoff, but it's gonna be on AT THE SAME TIME AS THE COWBOYS GAME! What the fuck MTV?? Now I have to make a decision: watch my Cowboys open up the season in primetime at Redskins Park or watch the VMAs??
This also happened to me in 2007 when the Cowboys opened up the against the Giants in primetime and the VMAs were live from Las Vegas. It's partly the NFL's fault for scheduling the Cowboys there as well, but the VMAs shouldn't be going up against NFL's big time opening day. What ever happened to having the VMAs on Thursdays?? Either way, I'm pissed because of course I wanna watch my 'Boys, but at the same time, I wanna watch the VMAs and make jokes on Twitter like on all the rest of the award shows. I don't know, we'll see how it goes, I guess.
2) Wyclef In Hiding After Receiving Death Threats
I never weighed in on this whole Wyclef/president of Haiti business, but the shocking part of this story, to me, is that Haiti's presidential election is in November. I was thinking their election was in 2011 or something. I was just talking about short notice with Chelsea Handler and the VMAs but shit! Clef JUST announced he was running a couple weeks ago, now he has to put his whole campaign and stuff together for an election in 3 months?? I know Haiti is far from the U.S., but damn.
I'm not saying Clef running is a good or bad thing, I'm just saying there should probably be a cut off date as to when someone can jump into a political race. Three months, son, three months! That's insane lol.
3) Shocker: Jay-Z Tops The Hip-Hop Cash Kings Again
Over the past 12 months, Forbes has estimated that Jay-Z has made a whopping $63 million. That's $33 million than #2, Diddy. And to make things even crazier, Beyonce made even more than Jay did! B brought in $87 million over the past year, making her the 3rd highest earning musicians overall. On that list, U2 ($130 million) is 1st and AC/DC ($114 million) is 2nd. Jay-Z is the only rapper on there, and he ranks 6th.
And exactly why does everybody want to be a rapper again??
4) Jersey Shore Introduces New Cast Member
Her name is Deena Nicole Cortese, and she'll be Angelina's replacement for "Jersey Shore" season 3. As you can see from the picture and video on MTV.com, she's not that hot, but then again, outside of Sammi, who is??
No word yet on what her Guido nickname is going to be.
5) Swizz Beatz Signs New Record Deal, Readies Album
Hopefully it's better than One Man Band Man.
6) Flo Rida Working On New Double Album
Clearly Flo Rida still hasn't gotten the memo that we don't even want one Flo Rida album, let alone two.

The Best of the Forgotten MuZik Pt. 1
Haven't heard this type of track from Busta in a loooong time. I mean, if J. Holiday wasn't on it, you couldn't tell me this wasn't an unreleased track from some time between 1996-2003. Very old Busta. Not that there's anything wrong with the new Busta, but this is some shit I would've expected to hear on E.L.E. Either way, I fucks with this track.
Strong ass joint from David Banner! He turned into the Hulk for this shit. Something is wrong and the fact that no radio station would dare pick this up plays a part in the overall picture. Program directors would say its because of the somewhat anti-gay speech in the last verse, but they really wouldn't play it because they're too busy playing Soulja Boy and Stanky Legs.
Bully - Who The Fuck Is This? (feat. Sheek Louch)
Bully fits right in in D-Block like he was there the whole time. I don't know if he came up studying them or what, but he's spits their style perfectly. I fucks with Bully.
Cory Gunz is still super nice as you can hear. Not sure what this is/was on though because it wasn't on that Heir To The Throne mixtape with DJ Drama.
I'm not gonna front, I don't hate this song. Plus, its true because one disagreement with Chris Brown can transform any young lady from a bad bitch into a bloody, bruised mess (Shout out to Rihanna). Hey, fuck y'all, I ain't beat the girl up, he did lol.
I wonder if Jacki-O realized how much she sounded like a mixture between Foxy Brown and Lil Kim?? I don't mind it, but her and Fox obviously don't get along.
Anyway, I'm glad to see Jacki and Brisco have made up since that ugly wad of slap situation back in 2008. This track is really hot and we need more of this and less of that. Shouts to Mowet too, that dude has talent. Trust.
Jadakiss definitely won this match-up of NY lyricists. Good to see Rakim working though.
Damn I wish I could find this track without all those annoying tags! This track is fiyah! The beat is straight stupid and Maino and banks handle it properly. Definitely gets my co-sign and stamp of approval.

Open Letter to Alicia Keys By Mashonda
After having a great evening with my son and enjoying some fun twit chat, I decided to sign off and get some work done. However, a few hours later I was advised that I should check @aliciakeys twit page. I’ve never reached out to her on twitter before. I feel our issues are a lot more serious than a website conversation. Not to mention that I’ve reached out to her many times in the beginning of this whole thing, as any wife would do. Unfortunately, I never succeeded in getting a response. The 1st time I meet AK, my husband introduced us to each other at an event. ( I have no choice but to call him my husband, until he is not anymore) In the messages that I sent to her (AK), I made it very clear that on the contrary of what she might be hearing, I am still married to my husband, living with him and just had a child. Its been two years and I still have not received a response. What I do receive, is constant displays of selfishness and disconcern to me and my son.
I was a fan of AK’s last album, we were both signed to J Records and I always checked up on her projects. I sang her songs and admired her for creating Superwoman and Karma, I would never deny her, her talent. I believed in her until I found out she was possibly sleeping with my husband. The affair was denied by both, until it was finally admitted months later.
Already I can hear some of you saying ” why are u blaming her, You cant make someone leave their wife, You cant break something thats broken”. Well, my marriage was not broken, as far as I knew we were celebrating our sons birth and getting ready to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary . Call it blind love, whatever. I call it being a devoted wife.. As far as me blaming her and not blaming him, thats false. Me and my husband have worked out our differences. We are in a good place as people and as parents. I accept his choices and I am comfortable enough with myself to move on. I am so very blessed in many ways.
My concern with AK is no longer the fact that she assisted in destroying a family but that she has the audacity to make these selfish comments about love and wanting to be with someone, even after knowing their situation. How is this the same Superwoman that I sang out loud with in my truck? I ask myself sometimes.
If you are reading this Alicia, let me start by saying, you know what you did. You know the role you played and you know how you contributed to the ending of my marriage. You know that I asked you to step back and let me handle my family issues. Issues that you helped to create.
Im not saying everything was perfect all the time but no relationship is perfect. We made a vow to God and I believe you should have respected that, as a woman. I know you owe me or my son nothing but I just wish you would’ve handled things more carefully. I’m not judging you, I put you and the whole situation in the hands of God, the Higher Power. Just know that as a woman, I expected so much more from you. I never had intentions on reaching out to you this way but after reading your twits tonight, and the constant disregard, you left me no choice. I feel that after 1 and a half years of you hiding this affair and acting like it doesnt exist, that now is the time to confront it, since you talk so openly about it now
This is not a publicity stunt, I dont have a record coming out. I just need to close this chapter in my life and that means confronting our issues. There is a small child involved. His dad loves him to death and he wants to spend more time with him but hes afraid because he knows we don’t have a relationship. This is my main concern. My son NEEDS his dad and I NEED to be comfortable with you. For him!
I know many will see my point and many will not be able to look into what’s real because they only want to see Alicia Keys the celebrity, not the human. This is not for the “people”, this is for you. Like I said I was left no choice but to reach out to you this way. By now, Im sure you want to find a balance in this as well.
I read your tweets tonight and I felt they were very insensitive. You have no idea how much pain I was caused because of this affair. Its baffling to me that you don’t understand what I might have gone through with this situation. I dont consider myself a victim anymore, Ive learned alot from this! I just ask you to try and be a bit more realistic and delicate to the situation, at least until my divorce is final. I felt me attending the party would have been a starting point for us, since you shook my hand after I offered it, but I suppose I was wrong.
If its so, that you and my husband are meant to be together, then God bless you both and I hope you never have to deal with what I did. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. If you two being together forever is the case, its more of a reason for us to get along, because I’m not going anywhere. Theres a child to be raised.

Anyway, I've seen some people on the internet commenting on this saying Mashonda is "bitter" and she needs to "move on." Man, that sure is easy to type in the comment section of some blog, but wouldn't you think this is one of those things that are easier said than done??
I'm not a woman, I've never been married, I never gave birth to a person's child, I've never been cheated on, but seriously how is she supposed to feel?? Some broad who's making songs about empowering women stole her husband and ruined her life. I mean what, is she supposed to be happy?? You damn right she's bitter on some Walter Lee in "A Raisin In The Sun" shit!
And how do you move on?? That's like telling someone who just lost a close family member to get over it. That's unrealistic and it doesn't work that way. Its easy to say "move on" or "get over it" to somebody else, but you don't know what this woman is going through. Of course, eventually you don't think of it as much as the days go, but you never forget.
And its not like they can just break clean, there is also a child involved, a not-yet 2 year-old reminder of what was. They didn't even have a chance to enjoy their new born before they were separated in April '08.
Long story short, the woman is hurting. Give her encouraging words or just leave it alone.
Welp, on the bright side, at least she'll be getting paid for all the pain she's been through.

X wasn't in jail for the whole time Kiss was making that album so it was possible. Makes more sense than putting O.J. Da Juiceman on it and making it the most skippable track on your album. Oh well, better late than never.
