Winning Streak by Twista feat. Mario Winans &... Carlos Boozer??

First of all, why? Second of all, why? And third of all, what the fucking fuck? If Joakim Noah got fined $50,000 for saying faggot, I don't see why Carlos Boozer shouldn't be fined $100,000 for embarrassing the league. And he's lucky he got a good game the other day (26 and 17) because I was thinking he should get suspended.

I had some doubt in my Heat's ability to finish out this series in 6 games or less, but after this, I say book it.

This Week In Flops 11/9/10

KiD CuDi
Last year CuDi surprised me and sold 104,300 in his first week. The difference this time, he doesn't have a hit record out. But still, CuDi has a weird cult following of demin legging wearing white boys, so I say he's good for 40-65k.

Cee-Lo Green
I'll be honest, I don't know what to expect from this album sales wise. I could see it selling anywhere from 20,000, all the way up to 80,000, so I'm gonna place my pick in the middle and guess 35-55k.

Twista
Twista effectively ruined his career by trying to go pop on his last 2 album Adrenaline Rush 2007 and Category F5, but Twist tries to go back to his original form on The Perfect Storm. I don't know, I haven't listened to the album yet, but that's what he's saying.

Anyway, I'm not sure how many people know this album is dropping, and that is never good for record sales. I'll say Twista's new joint falls in the 10-30k range.

Random News Shit: All Over The Place Edition

1) Wyclef's Presidential Bid Denied
And just like that, it's all over. Doesn't it seem like having to have lived in Haiti for 5 years is something Clef should've known before announcing his candidacy?? I mean, we we're taught the requirements to run for the U.S. presidency in like 3rd grade, so you'd think Wyclef or his reps would've researched the requirements to be president of Haiti at some point before saying he's running.

Oh well, I hope you're happy Sean Penn and Pras!

2) DJ Khaled Signs With Cash Money
My first thought upon hearing this news: poor Ace Hood. I mean, it's not like his career was really taking off or anything, but now it really won't now that he's left stranded on Def Jam. Who's gonna convince L.A. Reid Ace should have another opportunity to drop a new album that won't sell now?? Y'all probably think I'm joking but I'm serious, I really feel bad for the guy.

At the end of the day, this is good news for DJ Khaled haters. We all know Cash Money isn't in the business of dropping non-Lil Wayne or Birdman albums, so We The Best Forever may never happen. Or just never get released.

3) Delonte West Suspended 10 Games By The NBA
Times are hard for ya boy Delonte. First he got arrested on gun charges, then he destroyed the Cleveland Cavaliers and made LeBron take his talents to South Beach, then he got traded to the T'Wolves, then waived a few days later, and now he gets a 10 game suspension by the NBA. Looks like good news only came through Gloria James' vagina once. Rim shot!

4) Twista Announces Release Date For Perfect Storm
The date is October 26th. My level of caring is 0.

I still got love for Twista, but if his most hardcore fan would have to admit he's fallen off. I thought Slow Jams and Overnight Celebrity were good for him, but in actuality its completely derailed his career into a pool of wannabe pop records. The Day After was still pretty good, but Adrenaline Rush 2007 was a disgrace, and Category F5 was just aight. Bring the real Twista back and then maybe I'll get interested.

5) Around The Horn's Jay Mariotti Arrested For Domestic Violence
Jay was arrested in L.A. for domestic violence last night at 4:30am which begs the question: what is it about L.A. that makes people wanna beat bitches up?? First Chris Brown, and now Jay Mariotti. Sad, sad.

Welp, whether Jay beat up his wife, or some hooker he met, it's still not worse than former ESPN Football Today podcast host Jeremy Green. I never wrote about it, but JG was arrested for possession of child pornography and narcotics back in July.

Exhibits A-Z

Exhibit C
Did I say Say Ahh was the most freestyled over track besides I Wanna Rock?? Wrong! I forgot all about this crazy ass Exhibit C beat! This probably the best collective of freestyles so I don't even have to ell you to enjoy, I already know you will.

This last one by Bun B isn't techinically over the Exhibit C instrumental, but it was about to be before Bun speaks on how many niggas have already used it and switched it up. Its still a good freestyle regardless though.

David Banner & 9th Wonder - Something Is Wrong (Remix) (feat. Twista, Naledge, Rhymefest, Skooda Chose & Lisa Ivey)

Something Is Wrong
Show out to David Banner for putting this together!

I'm loving this all Chicago remix, but the reason behind the song is just sad. Everybody went in though. I like how Naledge made the point of if there was no video footage of this kid getting killed, no one would care. I also fucked with what Rhymefest said about Chicago raising all that money for an Olympics they didn't even get and not giving the money to the people. Nice to hear that Twista can still spit though after the debacle that was his last album. Soooo bad!

Thursday Billboard Update - 7/23/09

http://i29.tinypic.com/vzu1ah.jpg
I said I'd boycott the Billboard 200 as long as Michael Jackson sold more records than anybody else and wasn't represented. Well somebody has finally outsold a MJ album this this week. Daughtry's Leave This Town grabs its first #1 with 269,000 sold. Down at #7, Joe's newest album Signature comes in with 49,100 sold. And finally Twista's horrible auto-tuned bullshit Category F5 opens at #8 selling 45,400.

Nothing is really popping on the Hot 100, same ol' same ol' for the most part.

The Billboard 200 1-10
first week debuts in bold

1. Daughtry - Leave This Town (1)
2. Maxwell - BLACKsummers'night (1-2)
3. Miley Cyrus - Hannah Montana 3 (2-3)
4. Various Artists - Now 31 (3-4)
5. Black Eyed Peas - The E.N.D. (5-5)
6. The Dead Weather - Horebound (6)
7. Joe - Signature (7)
8. Twista - Category F5 (8)
9. Taylor Swift - Fearless (10-9)
10. Kings of Leon - Only By The Nigh (14-10)

The Billboard Hot 100 1-10
first time top 10's in bold

1. Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling (1-1)
2. Drake - Best I Ever Had (2-2)
3. Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me (6-3)
4. Keri Hilson - Knock You Down (4-4)
5. Sean Kingston - Fire Burning (5-5)
6. Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow (3-6)
7. Lady GaGa - LoveGame (7-7)
8. Pitbull - I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) (8-8)
9. Jeremih - Birthday Sex (9-9)
10. Katy Perry - Waking Up In Vegas (12-10)
  • Pitbull's latest single Hotel Room Service jumps 20 spots 51-31. We'll see if I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) can stick in there in the top 10 until Hotel Room Service is ready to movie in.
  • Twista's Wetter finally breaks the top 50 by moving up 9 spaces 56-47.
  • Mario's new single Break Up featuring Gucci Mane and Sean Garrett moves up 60-51 this week.
  • May be too little too late but Fabolous' first single Throw It In The Bag jumps 12 spots 82-70./li>
  • KiD CuDi looks to show he career isn't quite over yet as his 2nd single Make Her Say with Kanye and Common jumps 16 spots 91-75.
  • Another So Far Gone track debuts on the Hot 100 as Drake's Successful with Trey Songz comes in at #89.

This Week In Flops 7/14/09

If you follow me on Twitter, you know how I feel about this album. Bottom line, its a terrible album. Period. BUT I'm not here to talk about the album, I'm here to talk about its sales (I suggest no one buy this album by the way). It takes no expert to know this album as received little push from its label. With that being said, I think its gonna land somewhere in the ballpark of 20-45k.

Here's an album you didn't know was coming out, Joe's new album Signature. I can't lie and say I know much about this album, but the thing I do know is that most people don't know its out. That usually doesn't equal sales. I can see this album falling in the 5-15k range.

Twista - Alright (feat. Kanye West) (Prod. By Kanye West & No I.D.)

This is an iTunes bonus track, but take it from someone who has heard the album: it should've made the cut.

This song is exactly what the title says it is, just "alright." Nothing too incredible about definitely listenable and definitely should've made that wack ass album Twista is dropping today. I might review that shit, but its really nothing more than a 1.5/5 or a 2/5.

Didn't Bow Wow make this song already last year?? I'm just saying, very similar. Anyway, for what it is its a pretty hot song. I mean I'd fuck with it if I went to clubs and shit still.

Category F5 will be in stores July 14th! Hopefully it'll be a better effort than Adrenaline Rush 2007.

Random News Shit: Hip-Hop News Edition

R.I.P. Dolla
1) Rapper Dolla Shot And Killed In L.A.
Now, I'm not gonna sit here and lie like I was a fan of dude's music, but its always tragic to a young person killed no matter what. R.I.P. Dolla.

2) Yung Joc Needs 72 Stitches After Being Attacked By Katt Williams Coked Up Dog??
You have GOT TO click that link and read those "tweets." I'm still not convinced it really happened, but its fuckin' hilarious! On a side note, why is DMX back on coke?? Didn't this nigga just get out last week?? That man is a sad, sad case. Shout out to the real BAWSE for putting me up on game lol.

3) 'Only Built 4 Cuban Links II' Set For Aug. 11th Release

Its about time! I can't WAIT for this album! I hope it stays put at that date because I think Raekwon might have a classic on his hands.

4) Twista Deads Rumors Of Impregnating Pornstar Pinky
SMH @ anybody actually believing something that originated on MediaFakeOut had any possibility of being true lol. Knowing them niggas, they probably saw her somewhere and noticed how fat she has gotten and figured she was pregnant. Sad.

On another note, Pinky needs to get back in shape and get back to work!

Twista - No Love (feat. The Game)

Twista - No Love (feat. The Game)

If you ask me, this sounds more like a left over Adrenaline Rush 2007 track than a Category F5 track. If you listen to Game's verse, he's talking about Pharrell wearing pastel colored hoodies and shit and he was doing that a lot of Doctor's Advocate and not much since then so it'd be weird of him to say that in 2009. Either way its a good track.

(Oh, and if Game didn't like Pharrell's hoodies, I'd love to hear what he has to say about his boy Kanye right about now lol.)

Busta Rhymes - Number One (feat. T.I. & Akon)

The B.O.M.B. drops Marh 24th!

Busta Rhymes - Number One (feat. T.I. & Akon) (Prod. By Cool-N-Dre)

Definitely a heater from Big Busta Rhymes! He and T.I. both did their thing on this shit and Cool-N-Dre did a decent job on the track. Akon was just Akon so you can take that however you want lol.

Anyway, I put 3 bonuses after the jump that you may, or may not have heard before. The first is a Twista tracked featuring Bust called Billionaire, the second is Lil Cease's new shit Talk Goes Through Us with Bust and Fab, and the last is another track from B.O.M.B. I never bother to post called Wack.

Twista - Billionaire (feat. Busta Rhymes)

Is it safe to say that Twista has completely fallen off yet??

Lil Cease - Talk Goes Through Us (feat. Fabolous & Busta Rhymes)

Pretty okay, it was better than that Twista shit above lol.

Busta Rhymes - Wack

The track title says it all. I'm joking, but yeah this track is okay, its more of an leftover if this is my project...but its not so who knows.

Muzik Pt. 3

Bobby Creekwater & Stat Quo - Say You Will Freestyle

They both killed this shit here! They could've found a better version of Say You Will to blend in with the hook but its all good lol.

Rhymefest - Coolness

I don't really like Rhymefest that much musically, but this shit right here goes hard.

Snoop Dogg Feat. Sly Stone - Dr. King Remember

I guess I should've saved this for Monday, but technically it is his birthday today so happy Birthday Dr. King. Its also my mom's birthday today too so happy birthday to her too.

Saigon - Trans-Atlantic Slave Deal

You already know what time it is when it come to Saigon. He needs to drop a mixtape or something if the album is never gonna drop.

Cory Gunz - Crack A Bottle Freestyle

Don't know why anybody would leave the hook on here if they were gonna spit over it but whatever.

Juelz Santana - Let's Cruise

This is some smooth shit right here, but I think he could've came with a better flow. This not really the kinda track you spit a bunch of punchlines on. Still decent overall in my books.

Twista - Wetter

I saw Twist always put this on his YouTube channel so I don't know if this is gonna be the first single off Category F5 or not. Either way I think its a dope lil track. I'll bump it.

Memphis Bleek - So Easy Freestyle

This beat is so sick I was hardly even paying attention to Memph lol. On the 2nd time around I could hear he was kinda rippin' too so that's even better.

Memphis Bleek - Jumping Out The Window Freestyle

Can't say the same for this track because I couldn't wait to turn it off the 1st time so there was no 2nd time lol.
