Thursday Billboard Update - 4/28/11

Guess who's back at #1? That's right, Adele's 21! With a sales increase of 65%, 21 again returns to #1 by pushing out another 153,000 copies.

We might need to run the Katy Perry/Rihanna .gif in reverse because Katy Perry's E.T. returns to #1, knocking Rihanna's S&M down to #4. With the domination of her album, its only right that Adele's single Rolling In The Deep would end up at #2. Will she cover take Katy Perry next week? Maybe. Recording his 5th top 10 (Damn, already??) is Bruno Mars with The Lazy Song (11-6). And oddly enough, after debuting last week, Lady Gaga's Judas actually falls out of the top 10. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be back soon enough.

Hyperizers - Don't Criticize (Hyperize)

Look at 'Shard, he actually has some flow! BAWSE says its because he's from Houston, but I say its because he moved to Florida. Follow me on this, he spit in a low voice which means one thing to me: He just started rapping! That means he learned in Florida where he's played the last few seasons. I win. Done and done!

Speaking of Rashard Lewis and the city of Houston, this whole arguments makes me think of how dumb the Rockets are. In the 1998 Draft they had THREE chances to take 'Shard, but opted for Michael Dickerson (LOL), Bryce Drew (LMAO), and Mirsad Türkcan (Who??)! Here's the rationale of their GM at the time: "Anytime you can pick 3 guys who won't be in the league 10 years from now over a hometown kid, you've got to do it." Yeah, hindsight is 20/20, but come on, Mirsad Türkcan?? Only the Clippers failed harder in that draft lol.

Thursday Billboard Update - 6/18/09

Damn, how did I forget to do a "This Week In Flops" last week?? I'm fucking' up, but I apologize. Anyway, lets move on to this weeks charts.

First off, Eminem's Relapse crosses over the 1 million sold mark this week with 87,500 to bring him to a total of 1,049,100. The Black Eyed Peas record their first #1 album this week as their The E.N.D. project pushes 304,000 units out of the stores. Mos Def is back on the charts as his new album The Ecstatic checks in at #9 with 39,400 sold. Right after that is Pleasure P with his debut solo album Introduction Of Marcus Cooper at #10 moving 39,000 records.

BEP cleaned up on the singles side too as it not only hangs onto the #1 spot with Boom Boom Pow, but also debuts a new one called I Gotta Feeling at #2. Can you say domination?? Sadly, with one new record in, one old record has to see the door and Jamie Foxx's Blame It finds itself exiting the top 10 after a respectable run. You will be missed.
